Isang makabuluhang araw ang naganap kahapon, Mayo 31, 2026 sa Brgy. 106 Sto. Niรฑo, Tacloban City habang sama-samang nagsagawa ng CLEAN-UP DRIVE at FEEDING PROGRAM ang ibaโ€™t ibang samahan at kinatawan ng pamahalaan.

Ang aktibidad ay pinangunahan ng Unidos Eastern Bisayas, kasama ang Uswag Sinirangan Bisayas Inc., Eastern Visayas Peace Builders and Development Federation, Samar Peace Builder, at mga kawani mula sa PNP, AFP, at BFP.

Nagsimula ang Clean-Up Drive nang ganap na 7:00 ng umaga at natapos nang maayos bandang 9:00 ng umaga. Kaagad itong sinundan ng Feeding Program na dinaluhan at pinakinabangan ng humigit-kumulang 250 na kabataan mula sa nasabing barangay.

Lahat ng gawain ay matagumpay na natapos nang bandang 11:00 ng umaga โ€” patunay na kapag nagtutulungan ang bawat isa, mas mabilis at mas maganda ang ating nakakamit na tagumpay at pag-unlad! ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿค

Families, schools, communities, and leaders must work together to guide and protect them from activities that may harm their future and well-being.

We call for an end to the recruitment of youth into the CPP-NPA and encourage all sectors of society to stand united in protecting the lives of our young people. Today, the EU Delegation to the Philippines hosted the MARINA Multi-Sector Governance Council (MSGC), bringing together representatives from government, industry, academia, and maritime stakeholders to discuss key priorities for the sector.

The exchange highlighted the importance of governance reform, workforce development, digital transformation, maritime safety, and sustainability in enhancing the competitiveness of the Philippine maritime industry and supporting Filipino seafarers.

The discussion also reflected the European Unionโ€™s continued partnership with MARINA through the EU-ASEAN Sustainable Connectivity Package (SCOPE) Seafarers Project. Under , the EU supports long-term institutional strengthening, maritime education, and trusted international partnerships that contribute to a safer, greener, and more resilient maritime sector.

The chaos unfolding in Philippine politics today is creating confusion, anger, and deep division among Filipinos. From impeachment battles and Senate conflicts to public denials and obvious political maneuvering, many citizens no longer know whom to believe. Our institutions appear weakened while trust in government continues to erode. In the midst of this, political camps are more focused on defeating each other rather than solving the problems of the people.

The public can only watch in disgust while impeachment proceedings, Senate realignments, ICC-related controversies, and rival political camps treat our democratic institutions as political battlegrounds. For ordinary Filipinos, these charades do not provide clarity but only exhaustion. We are tired and distrustful.

And this distrust is not imagined. In Transparency Internationalโ€™s 2025 Corruption Perceptions Index released in February 2026, the Philippines scored 32 out of 100 and ranked 120th out of 182 countries. This is a reminder that corruption remains a persistent source of public cynicism and anger. When people see institutions weakened by corruption, selective accountability, and political survival, they begin to ask whether the system still works for them.

We have already seen how political instability and public frustration become fertile ground for radical movements, extremism, and armed struggle. When government institutions lose credibility, many become vulnerable to propaganda and narratives that promise โ€œrevolutionโ€ as the answer to suffering and inequality.

๐ŸŒฟ BORONGAN INTEGRATED AGRICULTURE AND FLORICULTURE PROJECT

Binigyang-diin ni DENR 8 RED Arturo Salazar ang proyektong isinasagawa ng BIAFFA, kung saan ang pangunahing tagumpay ay ang pagbabalik-loob ng mga miyembro sa mga lehitimong gawaing sumusuporta sa pamahalaan.

Nagtatanim sila ng mga mataas na halagang bulaklak at lemon grass sa mga greenhouse. Nakapagbenta na sila at nakakuha ng kita na umaabot sa โ‚ฑ17,000.00.

Dahil matatagpuan ang proyekto sa loob ng SINP Multi-Use Zone, humihingi sila ng pahintulot para sa maayos na pagpapatupad. Iminungkahi ring bigyan pa sila ng karagdagang lupa para sa pagtatanim ng sampaguita at ilang-ilang, at bigyan ng pagkakataong makapag-aral sa SINP Natureโ€™s School.

Binigyang-diin na kailangan ng tulong ng mga ahensya para magkaroon sila ng matatag na kabuhayan, upang manatili sa tamang landas, mabawasan ang pang-aabuso sa likas na yaman, at mas mapalakas ang pangangalaga sa kapaligiran.

Ang proyekto ay inilunsad noong Disyembre 9, 2025 sa pamamagitan ng pagsasamahan ng LGU-Borongan at DENR-ERDB-ARDEC.
