💖 Celebrating creativity and compassion! Our residents and staff brought the heart to life through art, showcasing talent, care, and love in every piece. 🎨✨

Kamanggawa Foundation Inc. recently celebrated National Heart and Art Month, highlighting the creativity and artistic talents of both residents and staff. The event featured dance performances, tie-dye, quilling, and collage artworks, all centered on themes of the heart, heart care, and love in its many forms.

In line with our commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of our elderly residents and persons with disability, KAMANGGAGAWA FOUNDATION, INC. will be conducting a Fire Drill Seminar and Workshop on February 24, 2026 at our facility in Sitio Bungliw, Brgy. Cambuja, Santa Maria, Laguna.

This activity aims to educate and prepare our staff and residents on proper fire safety awareness, prevention, and emergency response procedures. With the special needs of our residents in mind, this initiative is an important step toward strengthening our preparedness and promoting a safer environment for everyone.

We sincerely thank the Bureau of Fire Protection – Santa Maria, Laguna, for their anticipated support and guidance in making this activity possible.

The heart is vital for life and is also the organ most commonly associated with the feeling of love. In line with the celebration of the month of February, it is important to emphasize heart health, especially among the KFI HEPWD residents. More importantly, this is an opportunity to discuss how to care for our hearts from a biblical perspective, recognizing the heart as the center of one’s thoughts, character, and faith. Promoting awareness of proper heart care both physical and spiritual, is essential, as persons with disabilities and the elderly may have unique health needs and require consistent support in maintaining a healthy and meaningful life. Through health education and faith-based activities, KFI HEPWD continues to uphold the overall well-being and quality of life of its residents.

Therefore, KFI HEPWD conducted an event entitled “Taking Care of Our Heart” to educate participants about heart health. The activity covered ways to prevent heart disease, promote a healthy lifestyle, and detect cardiovascular issues early, while connecting this knowledge to a biblical perspective. The event was successfully conducted with the help of the following resource speakers:

𝓒𝓪𝓻𝓭𝓲𝓸𝓵𝓸𝓰𝓲𝓼𝓽 – Provided medical insights on heart disease prevention, risk factors, and early warning signs.

𝓡𝓮𝓰𝓲𝓼𝓽𝓮𝓻𝓮𝓭 𝓝𝓾𝓽𝓻𝓲𝓽𝓲𝓸𝓷𝓲𝓼𝓽-𝓓𝓲𝓮𝓽𝓲𝓽𝓲𝓪𝓷 𝓜𝓼. 𝓙𝓮𝓻𝓮𝓶𝓲𝓮 𝓥𝓲𝓵𝓵𝓪𝓻 – Shared tips on maintaining a heart-healthy diet and lifestyle.

𝗙𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱

Before the year 2025 came to an end, KFI-HEPWD was filled with smiles, laughter, and heartfelt reunions as we celebrated Family Day with our beloved Elderly residents and Persons with Disabilities, together with their families and friends. Through simple activities, shared meals, and meaningful conversations, we strengthened the bonds that provide our residents with comfort, hope, and emotional support.

Adding joy to the celebration were our special guests from KFI–Home for Minors, who shared their time and happiness with our dear Lolos and Lolas, as well as the brethren from the MCGI Locales of East Laguna and MCGI LKD of Laguna West, whose presence and support made the event even more meaningful.

The program began with joyful singing 🎶 that uplifted the spirits of our residents, followed by fun games, intermission numbers from our guests, a celebration of Sabbath & Birthdays for residents, and a raffle draw of grocery items for the lucky winners. 🎁

We sincerely thank all the families, staff, volunteers, guests, and partners who made this celebration possible. Your time, patience, and love mean so much to our residents. Above all, we offer our deepest gratitude and glory to the Highest God for making this gathering possible. ✨🙏
