On June 2, 2026, the MCGI NCR District 6 Barbers carried out a meaningful outreach activity at the KFI HEPWD facility, bringing together acts of service, compassion, and fellowship. The program was designed not only to provide free haircut services but also to uplift the spirits of the clients through singing and simple acts of generosity such as distributing biscuits.

Upon arrival, the volunteer barbers immediately prepared their tools and began offering free haircuts to the beneficiaries, many of whom were elderly and persons with disabilities. Each client was attended to with care and patience, ensuring that they were comfortable throughout the process. As the activity progressed, visible transformations were seen—not only in appearance but also in the mood of the clients. Fresh haircuts brought smiles, and many appeared more confident and delighted with their new look.

At the same time, a group of volunteers led a singing session that filled the venue with warmth and joy. Songs of praise echoed throughout the facility, creating an atmosphere of hope and inspiration. The clients responded positively, with several clapping their hands, singing along, and even raising their hands in appreciation. The music became a powerful way to connect, allowing everyone present to share a moment of happiness regardless of their circumstances.

In addition to the grooming and singing, biscuits were distributed to all attendees. Though simple, this gesture was warmly received and added to the sense of care and attention given to each individual. The beneficiaries accepted the food with gratitude, further reflecting the success of the outreach effort.

To give its residents a rich and deeply engaging experience, the Kamanggagawa Foundation Inc. - Home for Elderly and Persons with Disability launched a week-long commemoration of Philippine Independence Day. As the opening highlight of this extended celebration, an early educational and interactive activity was organized. This kick-off event was designed to set a patriotic tone for the coming days, stimulate historical appreciation, and immediately immerse the residents in a festive, inclusive community atmosphere.

The week-long celebration commenced with an informative presentation led by Mrs. Sam F. Grageda, RSW who served as the program's primary facilitator. The residents were first shown a video presentation on the history and origins of Philippine Independence Day (from GMK TV). Following, the facilitator conducted a brief question-and-answer session, which the residents enthusiastically answered all together. Afterward, an interactive activity was held where each participant was asked to draw a piece of paper from a box containing a question. They were tasked with answering the question and locating the relevant geographical area on a map, for instance, sharing details about where they first worked and the nature of their employment.

This early celebration served as the perfect catalyst for Kamanggagawa Foundation Inc.’s week-long Independence Day calendar. By starting the festivities early, the foundation successfully sparked enthusiasm, activated cognitive recall, and fostered a strong sense of national pride among the elderly and persons with disabilities.

The vibrant participation and joyful expressions seen during this kick-off event have set an incredibly positive, warm, and dignified tone for the remaining activities scheduled throughout the celebratory week.

From talent showcases 🎤🎭, life story sharing 🗣️📖, sports activities 🏅, and recreational programs 🎊, the event highlighted that age and disability are never hindrances to showcasing talents, inspiring others, and celebrating manhood with dignity and pride. 👏✨

𝙎𝙩𝙖𝙛𝙛 𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 2026: A day of rest, fun, and bonding with the team.

A meaningful staff outing filled with fun, laughter, and team spirit, fostering stronger collaboration and positive working relationships.
A day away from our usual responsibilities was spent in joy, relaxation, and meaningful connection during our staff outing. This activity served as an opportunity for our team to take a well-deserved break from work and to strengthen the bond we share not only as colleagues but also as individuals working toward a common goal ❤️. Through laughter, shared meals, and simple moments of togetherness, we built stronger relationships and refreshed our minds and spirits. Activities like this remind us of the importance of teamwork, unity, and appreciation for one another’s efforts in the workplace. It was truly a day filled with happiness, relaxation, and memorable experiences that will continue to inspire us as we return to our daily duties with renewed energy and commitment.

Celebrating the strength, grace, and joy of every woman 🌸✨

The Kamanggagawa Foundation, Inc. – Home for the Elderly and Persons with Disability successfully celebrated its Women’s Month Culminating Activity last March 30, 2026, filled with smiles, confidence, and unforgettable moments shared among our residents and staff.

The celebration became more meaningful through the Ballroom Dance Presentation, where our elderly and PWD residents showcased their talents, confidence, and creativity through music and dance. The event was also highlighted by the giving of tokens of appreciation to our women residents and female staff as a simple gesture of gratitude and recognition for their strength, dedication, and valuable role within our community.

Indeed, every woman deserves to be appreciated and celebrated.

In line with our commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of our elderly residents and persons with disability, KAMANGGAGAWA FOUNDATION, INC. will be conducting a Fire Drill Seminar and Workshop on February 24, 2026 at our facility in Sitio Bungliw, Brgy. Cambuja, Santa Maria, Laguna.

This activity aims to educate and prepare our staff and residents on proper fire safety awareness, prevention, and emergency response procedures. With the special needs of our residents in mind, this initiative is an important step toward strengthening our preparedness and promoting a safer environment for everyone.

We sincerely thank the Bureau of Fire Protection – Santa Maria, Laguna, for their anticipated support and guidance in making this activity possible.
