Ngayon, ginugunita natin ang 𝗶𝗸𝗮-𝟴𝟰 𝘁𝗮𝗼𝗻 ng 𝗔𝗿𝗮𝘄 𝗻𝗴 𝗞𝗮𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗻 mula noong sumuko ang ating mga sundalo sa mga Hapon na pinamunuan ni General Edward P. King Jr. Ito ay isang madugong pangyayari sa Bataan noong 1942, panahon ng Ikalawang Digmaang Pandaigdig.

Muli nating alalahanin na sa ilalim ng init ng araw, ang magigiting na sundalo—gutom at sugatan—ay naglakad mula Mariveles, Bataan hanggang Camp O'Donnell sa Tarlac. Ang Bataan Death March ay kumitil ng libo-libong buhay, mga buhay na inialay para sa kalayaan.

The College of Engineering (COE), in coordination with the Community Extension Services Unit (CESU), held a meeting with the barangay officials of Brgy. Tibatib, Cavinti, Laguna on March 25, 2026, to discuss future plans for the deployment, utilization, and technology transfer of developed machines for the community.

Building Gender-Responsive Families: Creating Equal Opportunities at Home

Laguna University’s Community Extension Services Unit (CESU) and the Gender and Development (GAD) office successfully conducted the GAD seminar "Building Gender-Responsive Families: Creating Equal Opportunities at Home" on March 24, 2026, at Raymer Gawad Kalinga Village to promote household inclusivity and shared responsibilities. Ms. Danna G. Dael, the GAD Focal Person from NIA IV-A, served as the resource speaker for the event, empowering parents and children to foster more equitable and resilient family dynamics.

Innovate Locally: Creating Organic Household Products

On March 15, 2026, the College of Business, Administration, and Accountancy (CBAA) conducted a community extension activity at Brgy. Tibatib, Cavinti, Laguna. The selected CBAA faculty members and LU-Young Entrepreneurs Society (YES) Officers facilitated the seminar teaching community members how to create simple organic household products using pandan leaves.

Overall, the activity was a meaningful initiative that empowered the residents of Brgy. Tibatib with knowledge and skills in creating organic household products while promoting a healthier and more sustainable community.
