**Santa Ana Pawn Squadron Hosts First Chess Tournament for Young Minds**

*Santa Ana, Cagayan* — The Santa Ana Pawn Squadron successfully held its first-ever chess tournament for ages 18 and under, drawing close to 60 participants from various schools and communities. The highly anticipated event showcased the talent and strategic thinking of young chess enthusiasts.

The registration began promptly at 7:30 a.m., with participants and supporters eagerly gathering at the venue. This was followed by a short but lively opening program, where organizers highlighted the importance of chess in developing critical thinking, discipline, and sportsmanship among the youth.

The game proper commenced immediately after the opening program and ran throughout the day, with intense matches and calculated moves keeping the audience on edge. Players exhibited impressive focus and skills, competing in several rounds of play. By the end of the tournament, the hall buzzed with excitement and camaraderie as participants celebrated their shared passion for the game.
