Beyond the physical changes, alopecia can also affect a person's confidence and emotional well-being. That is why understanding, compassion, and acceptance are more important than ever.

Exactly 37 𝙮𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙨 𝙖𝙜𝙤, when 𝙍𝙚𝙥𝙪𝙗𝙡𝙞𝙘 𝘼𝙘𝙩 𝙉𝙤.6759 was passed, and the “𝙒𝙝𝙞𝙩𝙚 𝘾𝙖𝙣𝙚 𝙎𝙖𝙛𝙚𝙩𝙮 𝘿𝙖𝙮” celebration was established. This celebration aims to recognize the accomplishments of visually impaired individuals who have achieved independence. Moreover, it intends to spread awareness about the needs, rights, and challenges faced by blind and visually impaired Filipinos. 👀

𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗮 𝗪𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝘆? 🦯
It is named after the 𝙬𝙝𝙞𝙩𝙚 𝙘𝙖𝙣𝙚, as visually impaired individuals use it as a vital tool for safe travel, a clear visual signal for motorists to give way, and a symbol of independence and self-reliance.

The 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗮𝗻 𝗣𝗲𝗱𝗿𝗼 𝗥𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 joins the celebration! Let's spread positivity and promote a community where everyone is respected, no matter who you are and what your abilities are. 🌍✨

Viral hepatitis remains a significant global public health concern, but through awareness and prevention, we can help reduce its impact. Hepatitis is an inflammation of the liver caused primarily by viral infection (types A, B, C, D, and E). While Hepatitis A and E spread mainly through contaminated food or water, Hepatitis B, C, and D spread through contact with infected blood and bodily fluids—such as sharing needles, unsterilized equipment, or unprotected exposure. If left untreated, chronic hepatitis can lead to severe liver damage, cirrhosis, and liver cancer.

Protecting yourself and your family begins with clear preventive action: get vaccinated against Hepatitis A and B, practice safe hand hygiene and clean food preparation, avoid sharing personal sharp items like razors or needles, and ensure safe medical and personal procedures. Early screening and consulting medical professionals if exposed or experiencing symptoms are vital steps to staying safe. Small actions can make a big difference in preventing the spread of hepatitis.

On July 17, 2025, 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐚𝐧 𝐏𝐞𝐝𝐫𝐨 𝐑𝐞𝐝 𝐂𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥 proudly participated in the 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗼𝗽𝘂𝗹𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝘂𝘀𝗰𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗖𝗣𝗥) 𝗗𝗮𝘆 alongside fellow Red Cross Youth organizations across the Philippine Red Cross – Laguna Chapter and other youth volunteers. The event was organized by the 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐝 𝐂𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬 𝐋𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐧𝐚 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 – 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚 𝐑𝐨𝐬𝐚 𝐁𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐡 in partnership with the 𝐊𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐚 𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐧𝐆𝐞𝐥 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 and was held at the Biñan Football Stadium.

The program aimed to equip, train, and educate volunteers with the knowledge and life-saving skills necessary to perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). Through this initiative, participants strengthened their preparedness to respond during emergencies while recognizing the vital role that CPR plays in saving lives.

As Red Cross Youth volunteers, we remain committed to the humanitarian mission of the Philippine Red Cross, living by its enduring mantra:
