In Loving Memory of Ma’am Milet Lupena Escalona
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of one of the founders of BIRDS Inc., Ma’am Milet Escalona, who peacefully left us on December 15, 2025.
Ma’am Milet was more than a founder—she was the heart and guiding light of our organization. Her invaluable contributions to the bird industry in the Philippines helped shape responsible bird keeping and elevate the standards of care, conservation, and education that BIRDS Inc. proudly upholds today.
To many of us, she was a mother figure—always patient, nurturing, and generous with her wisdom. As a dedicated teacher and mentor, she tirelessly educated members on proper bird care, ethical practices, and the true responsibility that comes with loving and keeping birds. Her passion inspired countless individuals and strengthened our community.
Her legacy will live on through the knowledge she shared, the values she instilled, and the lives—both human and avian—that she touched.
We extend our deepest condolences to her family and loved ones. Ma’am Milet Escalona will forever remain in our hearts and in the foundation of BIRDS Inc.
Rest in peace, Ma’am. Thank you for everything.
