🚨 Urgent Need: Cat Food 🚨

We’ve run out of cat food. We usually care for about 10 cats, and they eat through 10kg of food in just 3 weeks, so to keep them healthy for a whole month, we need at least 13–15kg.

✨ Cat Rescue Update ✨

Hi everyone! I know I haven’t posted updates here for a while, but I want to assure you that all the cats are being fed and cared for every day. 💕

Cheri gave birth last month, but sadly, four of her kittens did not make it. We now have one little fighter who’s doing well so far, and we’re making sure both Cheri and her baby stay healthy and strong.

Right now, we’re still in need of donations to cover:
🐾 Daily food for the cats
🐾 Vet check-ups for Cheri and her kitten
🐾 Future spaying/neutering to help control the population

The weather has been rough lately with the storms, but I’m happy to share that the cattos are safe and accounted for (though I wasn’t able to take photos of everyone). Grateful they’ve all been holding up well through the rain. 🌧️🐱

It’s been hard trying to catch Donna and Tanya, and sadly it looks like they’re pregnant again 😞 I’m hoping to get help with trapping soon before it’s too late.

Cheri is still the only one I’ve been able to catch so far, and I’m just waiting for better weather so I can finally bring her to the vet for spaying and a health check. She’s doing okay and getting stronger.

📌 Friendly Reminder:
If you’re leaving out food for the cats (thank you!), please make sure it’s safe for them to eat. Not all human food is good for cats, some can actually make them sick.

🚫 Avoid giving:
• Bones (especially cooked chicken/fish bones)
• Onions, garlic, or anything seasoned
• Chocolate, sweets, or dairy
• Leftovers with oil or salt
• Dog food (not suitable long-term for cats)

✅ Instead, you can give:
• Plain boiled chicken or fish (no seasoning)
• Wet or dry cat food
• A bit of rice mixed with safe protein if needed
• Clean water in a shaded, safe spot

Hi everyone! Just a quick update 💛

I recently bought a 7kg pack of Special Cat dry food to last from July 16 to August 15, this was made possible thanks to the previous round of donations. I’m so grateful to everyone who continues to support this little project. Your help keeps these community cats fed and safe!

As for Cheri, she’s still gaining strength since I’m making sure she’s healthy and stable before bringing her to the vet for spaying. She’s been through a lot, and I want her to be in the best shape before the procedure.

🐾 Catto Update 🐾

Big update: I was finally able to catch Cheri. Sadly, despite searching everywhere, we couldn't find any sign of her kittens, they most likely didn’t survive 💔 I’ve been making sure she’s comfortable in her temporary enclosure (more like a safe, quiet space!) while she regains strength before her vet check-up. The goal is to get her spayed and vaccinated, then turn her over to the kind driver who wants to give her a forever home. 🐱💛

The rest of the cats are doing well! I’ve continued feeding them once a day, and they’re all looking healthy. I’ve also noticed that some kind neighbors have been leaving food and water out too, thank you so much! It really helps.

Also… a little update on me 😅 I just finished my anti-rabies shots after getting bitten by Colby on June 6. He probably got too excited (or jealous?) when he saw me feeding the others. I still love him and the rest, of course! I’m just being extra careful now, especially because of my allergies.

🐾 Catto Update – 06/12/2025 🐾

Still feeding the community cats once a day, they've all been showing up well and seem healthy so far!

I haven’t been able to find Cheri’s kittens yet, which is worrying me a bit. Still keeping an eye out and hoping they’re safe.

I’m planning to trap all the female cats first, there are only three of them compared to the number of males, but spaying is more complex and expensive, so I’ll need to prepare and raise funds.

Grateful that they’re all doing okay for now. Small wins 💛

🐾 June is Cat Adoption Month! 🐾

🐾 6/1–6/4/2025 Catto Updates 🐾

Cheri finally gave birth! She’s eating again, but I haven’t found where she hid her babies yet. The kind man who plans to adopt her is on leave for 2 weeks, so I’m hoping he’ll be back soon. I want to make sure her kittens are safe before we schedule her spaying, possibly along with her "husband," Colby. 😸

I finally saw Chief again after a long time! He’s lost a lot of weight, but he’s still as sweet and gentle as ever, still rolling on the ground when he sees me.

It’s been raining lately, which worries me for the cats, but I continue to feed them in shaded areas to make sure they stay dry while they eat.

I was so touched to see that some of my neighbors have started putting out bowls of food too, thank you so much! It makes feeding them easier and shows that they’re being looked out for.

Also happy to share that I was able to buy 10kg of dry food for the cattos! 🐱💛
