What started as a simple Quiz Bee quickly turned into one of the most unexpected plot twists of the day.
From the very beginning, our King Jhorge, our Kween Rossini, and our very own Goddess Marga stepped onto the stage with confidence. And honestly? They looked so comfortable up there. Question after question, they answered with ease, like they were exactly where they were meant to be. The kind of performance that makes you sit back and think, "yeahโฆ weโre in good hands." They didnโt just compete.
They represented our section with intelligence, composure, and dedication. Every answer they gave showed the preparation, teamwork, and calm confidence they carried throughout the competition. Then the results were announced. The opposition was declared the winner. But something didnโt sit right.
When the question was reviewed, it became clear that the answer they gave was actually incorrect. Naturally, we spoke up. We fought for the point that was rightfully ours, and our teachers helped raise the concern. What followed was a long process of clarification and discussion. Even when the mistake was already clear, the opposition still refused to return what wasnโt rightfully theirs. In the end, the highest authority made the final decision: no winner would be declared at all. Was it fair? Maybe not completely. But one thing we know for sure: our delegates played fairly, confidently, and brilliantly from start to finish. And sometimes that speaks louder than any official result.
This is for King Jhorge, Kween Rossini, and Goddess Marga. Your section is so, so, SO proud of you. For us, you already won. You are our champions. A competition cannot define your ability. Weโve seen how capable you are, and we know you deserved a better and fairer ending.
And before we close our story, we also want to acknowledge Kween Daniella, Kween Jamaica, and King Roland.
You see, joining a quiz bee is not an easy thing to do. To face everyone while knowing how tough the questions are and how tough the opponents are also takes a lot of guts. The odds may not always be on your side, but that alone may be enough to discourage people to take the step. But you didnโt.
You still had the guts to step forward. You still had the guts to represent the section. And for that alone, we want to acknowledge you.
You may have won or you may have lost, but what is important to know is that it takes guts to face everyone like that. Not everyone is willing to take that risk, but you did. And for that alone, we want to say that we thank you.
You see, a team is not only made up of people who are standing on the podium. A team is also made up of people who had the guts to step up when it mattered. And for that alone, we want to say that we appreciate you.
The title may not have been written on paper, but deep down we know the truth. To us, the quiz bee still had winners. And they were sitting on our side of the stage. โจ
