From April 30 to May 01, 2026, the third-year Tourism Management students from University of the Assumption took part in an enriching Stay and Learn experience at Makati Shangri-La, one of the Philippinesโ€™ most distinguished luxury resorts. โœจ

During their stay, they were able to bridge classroom knowledge with real-world hospitality practicesโ€”strengthening their understanding of service excellence and industry professionalism. Complementing their educational experience, the students also had the opportunity to enjoy Shangri-Laโ€™s signature amenities, known for their elegance and exceptional quality.

Last April 23 to 24, 2026, the second-year Tourism Management students of University of the Assumption embarked on a memorable Stay and Learn experience at Okada Manila, one of the countryโ€™s premier luxury resorts. ๐Ÿ’ฏ

During their stay, they had the opportunity to observe and understand the operational standards of a world-class hotel. This hands-on experience allowed them to connect classroom learnings with industry practices, deepening their appreciation of excellence in tourism and hospitality management. Beyond the educational aspect, they also enjoyed Okada Manilaโ€™s renowned amenities, including the iconic fountain, one of the largest multicolor dancing fountains in the world.

On April 15 to 17, 2026, the first-year Tourism Management students of University of the Assumption participated in a Heritage Tourism educational tour in Ilocos. The tour aimed to provide students with firsthand experience of the regionโ€™s rich cultural heritage, historical landmarks, and tourism practices. ๐Ÿฉท

During the three-day trip, the students visited well-known destinations. The tour allowed students to deepen their understanding of heritage tourism, interact with local communities, and observe how cultural preservation and tourism management are implemented in real-world settings. It also enhanced their appreciation for the Philippinesโ€™ historical and cultural assets, aligning with their academic training in tourism.

On April 15, 2026, the LTSP-UA Chapter, in collaboration with BATAS officers, successfully organized a self-defense seminar aimed at empowering future tourism and criminology professionals with practical skills for safety and awareness.

The seminar featured experienced instructors who demonstrated various self-defense techniques. Participants were given the opportunity to engage in hands-on practice, allowing them to build confidence and apply what they learned in a controlled and supportive environment.

The collaboration between the LTSP-UA Chapter and BATAS officers highlighted the importance of unity in promoting safety and preparedness within the industry.
