MATH-SCI MONTH 2025
Joint Convocation & Awarding Ceremony
Theme: “Wisdom, Wonder, and Service: Honoring God through Science and Mathematics”

Union Christian College officially kicked off its Math-Science Month on October 1, 2025, with a Joint Convocation. The celebration opened with a devotional service that uplifted the faith and spirit of the UCC community. This was followed by the lively Dance Movez Competition, where each department presented creative math-inspired dance routines set to the popular track “APT” by Rosé and Bruno Mars.

The event culminated with the awarding of winners from the F.U.N.G.A.M.E.S. competitions. In MathemaPICS, the School of Business and Sciences (SBS) secured first place, while the Basic Education School (BES) won both second and third places. For the Math Relay, SBS again emerged as champion, followed by BES in second place and the School of Health and Sciences (SHEs) in third. In the Dance Movez Competition, the School of Education, Arts, and Sciences (SEAS) took the top spot, with BES and SBS finishing second and third respectively.

Bringing together mathematics, science, creativity, and camaraderie, the program marked a vibrant and meaningful start to UCC’s Math-Science Month celebration.

A New Era of Leadership: UCC Convergence Equips Student Leaders with Purpose and Practical Skills

student leaders from across Union Christian College (UCC) gathered on September 19, 2025, for the Student Leaders’ Convergence. The event, themed "Lead the Charge," was designed to be more than a seminar; it was a call to action.

UCC SSC President Adriez Trichol Catbagan opened the convergence by challenging attendees to look inward, emphasizing that leadership starts with self-discipline. He highlighted that a leader's ability to influence others is rooted in their own self-assurance.

The convergence also provided a shift from theory to tangible action. Leaders participated in hands-on sessions, learning life-saving skills like First Aid and CPR. This demonstrated a different kind of leadership—one centered on doing rather than just speaking.

The event concluded with a powerful moment: the unveiling of the new Supreme Student Council logo, symbolizing a renewed mission and a new era for the student body. The convergence successfully bridged purpose with practical competence, equipping a new class of leaders ready to serve with both their minds and their hands.

NAGLAING || Union Christian College Alumna Passes Certified Financial Management Specialist Exam

The JFINEX community is celebrating the remarkable achievement of one of its own. Ms. Trisha Yllaine Subala Gundran, a distinguished alumna from the BSBA Financial Management – Batch 2024, has successfully passed the Certified Financial Management Specialist (CFMS) Assessment Examination.

Her achievement not only brings pride to her alma mater but also serves as an inspiration to current students and fellow alumni. It highlights the high standard of education and professional preparedness fostered by the college's BSBA Financial Management program. The entire Union Christian College community extends its warmest congratulations to Ms. Gundran on this significant milestone.
