Our Book Nook has been such a happy place lately.

After welcoming our very first batches of schools earlier this year, the momentum has only picked up!
Over the past few weeks, we’ve loved having even more students, teachers, and parents join us after their tour of the ABOT TANAW exhibit here at San Miguel.
It’s been great seeing the kids move from the art galleries to our reading spaces. Whether they were diving into Filipino stories or sitting down for tabletop games with their parents and teachers, the energy has been wonderful.

The fun didn't stop at the books, either! We loved seeing students and parents try out the Stamp Station by The Curious Stamp and enjoy the Coffee and Canvas sessions at The Salted Press cafe.
It’s been a joy watching parents and teachers relax with a coffee while the students stayed busy with art and play.

A big thank you to our recent visitors for spending your day with us:
📗 Luzon Technological School
📕 Pundakit Elementary School
📘 San Esteban Elementary School
📒 College of Hildegarde Von Bingen
📙 San Miguel Elementary School

Thank you to all the parents and teachers, administrators for making these trips possible. It’s been a busy month, and we’re already getting the Nook ready for even more schools visiting us very soon!

If you haven’t dropped by yet, the ABOT TANAW exhibit is still open 'til March 15. Come for the art, and stay for the stamps, the coffee, and a good book.

See you soon!

Last February 6, we spent a quiet morning together for a small bookplate and bookmark-making activity to celebrate Art Month.

Some of us tried our hand at collagraph printing, building up textures to create unique prints while others kept their designs simple and sincere with hand-drawn touches.

The morning light at the venue was beautiful, and The Salted Press kept us all happy with great coffee and snacks while we worked.

It was a meaningful way to spend a few hours making something by hand for our favorite books. Huge thanks to CASA San Miguel and The Salted Press cafe for having us. We loved seeing what everyone created!

Keep an eye out for our next set of activities at the Book Nook soon. See you there!

Last Thursday was a special one at Book Nook Casa San Miguel Foundation. It was a pleasure hosting the students from San Nicolas Elementary School while they were visiting CASA San Miguel for the Zambulat: Abot-tanaw exhibit.
Seeing their faces light up around the books really made our day.

We also loved seeing families just hanging out, playing tabletop games and enjoying their coffee from The Salted Press cafe. It’s these simple moments; good stories, games, and great company that make this space what it is.

If you haven’t seen the Zambulat: Abot-tanaw exhibit yet, there’s still time! The exhibit is running until March, so please drop by CASA San Miguel to see the incredible works on display.

Come make every weekend a tradition. We’d love to see you here every Saturday and Sunday to find your next favorite book and just relax.

Last Sunday at CASA San Miguel we held the second book launch as part of this year’s Zambulat, and we had the pleasure of featuring Angel Shaw’s Markets of Resistance and Pancho Alvarez and Joel Toledo’s Seasonal Adversities.

It was an afternoon shaped by poetry, conversation, and the calm presence of a listening circle.

The books are now available at the CASA San Miguel Gift Shop.

It was a quiet and meaningful afternoon at CASA San Miguel, filled with warmth, shared listening, and a love for words, part of this year’s Zambulat, an arts festival by the CASA San Miguel Foundation.

We were grateful to celebrate through the book launches of Angela Fabunan and Marjorie Evasco, accompanied by poetry readings, a short sharing by Josh Paradeza about his recent zine workshop, and moderated by Doc Joey Tabula, Book Nook Casa San Miguel Foundation President.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and made this soft, joyful afternoon possible.

The books are now available at the CASA San Miguel Gift Shop.
Zambulat runs until December 14, stay tuned for another book launch on the final day!
