𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐏𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐬 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐈𝐧𝐜. (𝐏𝐏𝐡𝐀) has released its official Position Paper on “𝐍𝐨 𝐒𝐮𝐛𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧,” “𝐍𝐨 𝐁𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠,” 𝐚𝐧𝐝 “𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐞 𝐚𝐬 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐞𝐝” prescriptions.

The paper presents the Association’s position on the issue, citing relevant laws, jurisprudence, and the respective roles of healthcare professionals in supporting patient care and the proper implementation of the Generics Act.

YPG Philippines, in partnership with the University of Washington Global Health E-Learning Program, will be granting a full scholarship to a selected 𝗬𝗣𝗚 𝗟𝗢𝗖𝗔𝗟 𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗣𝗧𝗘𝗥 𝗢𝗙𝗙𝗜𝗖𝗘𝗥 for the certificate course on Leadership and Management in Health.

The Young Pharmacists Group (YPG) attended the Installation of the New Officers and Board of Trustees of the Philippine Pharmacists Association (PPhA) for the 2026–2029 term, held on June 25, 2026, at The Manila Hotel.

The ceremony marked the official transition of leadership, honoring the accomplishments of the outgoing administration and formally installing the newly elected national officers and Board of Trustees, led by Adelina C. Royo as President of the Philippine Pharmacists Association. The event also featured messages from pharmacy leaders and representatives of the Professional Regulation Commission, highlighting the importance of leadership, collaboration, and professional excellence.

YPG congratulates the newly installed PPhA officers and Board of Trustees on their new roles and wishes them success in leading the profession. We also proudly congratulate our President, Micko D. De Guzman, on his appointment as Co-Chair of the Advocacy Committee, and our Executive Vice President, Diana Dalisay A. Orolfo, on her appointment as Co-Chair of the Research Committee. We look forward to their continued leadership and contributions to advancing the pharmacy profession.
