SSLG - Looc National High School, Salay (2026)

03/10/2026

Congratulations to this week's 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸! Through their dedication, discipline, and strong sense of responsibility, they took the initiative to keep our school grounds clean and orderly. They didn't wait to be asked, and they didn't look for recognition. They simply did what was right, and that is what makes their effort so admirable.

Their example shows that a clean environment begins with small, simple actions, like picking up litter, sorting waste properly, and tidying up after ourselves. When practiced every day, these little habits make a big difference, creating a space that is more pleasant, welcoming, and respectful for everyone.

We hope their good work inspires every Loocian to take an active role in caring for our shared spaces. Cleanliness is a responsibility we all share, and it grows stronger through consistency, cooperation, and genuine care for one another. Together, we can build a school environment where everyone feels comfortable, safe, and ready to learn.

LOOCIANS, TERM 2 IS HERE! 📚

A new term comes with a fresh start—and a little reminder for every Loocian. As we begin Term 2, let us continue to uphold proper grooming and appropriate attire as part of maintaining discipline, respect, and order within our school community.

Here’s a quick guide to keep in mind:

On regular school days, all students are expected to observe the following:
• Wear the complete prescribed uniform appropriate to your grade level.
• Keep your School ID with you and wear it as required.
• Pair the school uniform with black shoes and white socks.

When wearing regular school clothes is permitted, students should choose attire that is decent, appropriate, and school-appropriate:
• Plain shirts or tops without offensive, inappropriate, or distracting prints and messages
• Jeans, trousers, or other appropriate pants
• Skirts and dresses that fall at or below the knee
• Closed shoes or other appropriate closed footwear

The following are not permitted within the school premises:
• Colored or dyed hair for both male and female students
• Hairstyles and accessories that do not conform to existing school regulations
• Earrings for male students, as well as multiple ear piercings for students
• Slippers and footwear that expose the toes
• Cropped, sleeveless, spaghetti-strap, off-shoulder, or other revealing tops
• Shorts, mini skirts, and ripped jeans

The SSLG Officers, together with the school personnel, will be present to assist students and help monitor compliance with these guidelines.

Let’s keep it simple: dress appropriately, follow the rules, and start Term 2 on the right note. A little reminder goes a long way. See you around, Loocians! 🤍

Happy birthday to our Publication Committee, Mary Claire! 💗

Always on the go when there’s something to write, edit, design, or publish, Claire is someone we can count on to get things done. Smart, approachable, and quietly dependable, she proves that you don’t always have to be the loudest person in the room to make an impact.

May this new chapter give you more reasons to smile, more stories worth writing, and countless moments worth capturing. Keep asking those witty questions, keep creating, and keep being the wonderful person you are!

HBD, MARIA CLARITA!

Happy birthday to our G10 Representative, Efren! 🥳

One of the coolest—and admittedly, occasionally missing (🤣). But your humor, chill personality, and effortless way of making things less serious make you one of the members we’re always glad to have around. May this new chapter bring you more wins, more unforgettable moments, and hopefully… more appearances? JK!

Keep being cool, keep making everyone laugh, and keep being you, Efren!

Before this day ends— the SSLG newsroom has one final breaking news: OUR MARIA IS OFFICIALLY A YEAR OLDER! 🎂

Happiest birthday to our lovely Treasurer and certified sunshine of the team! Between keeping the numbers in check and keeping everyone’s mood up, you somehow manage to do both like it’s nothing.

May your birthday be as bright as your energy, as sweet as your smile, and as full of blessings as our treasury hopefully should be (😆). Here’s to more memories, more laughs, and more moments with our favorite sunshine.

Keep glowing, Maria! SSLG loves you! 🫶🏻

Due to the dangerously high heat levels expected today, August 13, 2026, local authorities have announced the suspension of classes to ensure the safety and well-being of everyone.

In place of face-to-face classes, Modular Distance Learning (MDL) and asynchronous learning activities will be implemented. Learners are encouraged to accomplish their assigned modules and activities at home and stay updated through their respective class advisers and subject teachers.

Please stay indoors as much as possible, keep hydrated, and take care of yourselves dearest LOOCIANS!
