𝗙𝗘𝗔𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗘 | MEET THE CAPIZNON ARTIST BEHIND THE MUSIC
From Brgy. Quevedo, Maayon, Capiz to working alongside international artists, we’re proud to shine the spotlight on Maribelle Añes — a singer, songwriter, composer, and producer whose passion for music has grown into a lifelong career.
As A’TIN CAPIZ, we’re especially proud to feature a fellow Capiznon who continues to make her mark in the music scene.
And for us A’TIN, there’s an even more special connection: Maribelle wrote and produced “CRAZY,” the newest single performed by SB19’s Stell.
Maribelle shared that music has been her calling for as long as she can remember. Her journey began at home, where her parents led a church choir and her father taught her how to play guitar. She also learned piano at a young age.
By the age of 13, she was already writing and producing her own music — the beginning of a journey that would eventually take her beyond Capiz and into the wider music scene.
THE STORY BEHIND “CRAZY”
Maribelle had actually started writing the song a few years ago, but left it unfinished. She always imagined a male vocalist singing it, yet finding the right voice for its high chorus proved challenging.
Then, in 2025, while she was in Manila, Warner Music showed her a video of Stell singing.
And she immediately knew.
“CRAZY” belonged to him.
Stell’s voice inspired Maribelle to finally finish the song. She shared how she was “completely blown away” by how effortlessly Stell delivered such an emotional performance, describing him as “a very gifted singer.”
And now, that unfinished song has become a beautiful collaboration between two Filipino artists — one of whom has roots right here in Capiz. ✨
For us, this is more than just a music credit.
It’s a reminder that Capiznon talent has a place in the Philippine music scene. From Maayon to the international scene, Maribelle’s journey is something our fellow Capiznons can truly be proud of.
And as fans of SB19, we’re especially honored to see a fellow Capiznon artist collaborate with one of the boys.
