2nd B1 District LEO Convention: Hugpong 2025 Highlights

Held at the Iloilo Grand Hotel, this year’s convention brought together passionate Leos, Lions and Liones from Bacolod, Iloilo, Negros, Guimaras, and Capiz to celebrate leadership, culture, and community. 🦁✨

Day 1 kicked off with a meaningful Service Project at Asilo De Molo, where Leos extended care through a feeding program and donations of basic necessities to our elderlies.

During the Opening Plenary, participating clubs were proudly introduced, setting the tone for unity and collaboration across districts.

The evening Fellowship was filled with exciting prizes, dance numbers, and heartfelt recognition of both seasoned and new Leos, Lions and Lioness who continue to embody the spirit of Lionism.

On Day 2, delegates explored Iloilo’s rich history through a Museum Tour, visiting three cultural landmarks that deepened our appreciation for heritage and identity.

We give our huge thanks to Lion Engr. Tito Naven Bernas (Capiz Lions Club President) and Lion Dr. Markmarie Gaile Ardivilla (Capiz Lioness Lion Club President) for your generosity and kindness that gave us the opportunity to be part of this grand event. 🦁❤️

Yesterday. CLC Officers met to plan a new initiative that aims to strengthen our community’s resilience after the recent challenges brought by the typhoon ramil.🌧️

It’s still in its early stages, but we’re excited about what’s coming, something meaningful, sustainable, and built for the long term good of our fellow Capizeños.🫶🦁

Together with fellow Kabataang Capiznon, we moved with vision, led with passion, and celebrated the power of youth in shaping a better tomorrow. ✨

On August 9, 2025, the Capiz Leo Club proudly took part in the vibrant observance of International Youth Day held at Robinsons Place Roxas. Spearheaded by the Borres Youth Leadership Institute together with the CHILD Initiative, the event gathered 165 youth organizations for a day of connection, purpose, and shared commitment to community impact.

With the theme "Local Youth Actions for the SDGs and Beyond," the celebration highlighted the critical role of young people in shaping a more sustainable and inclusive future.
