The Girl Scouts of the Philippines โ Romblon National High School actively participated in the Moral Recovery and Values Formation Seminar held on May 19โ21, 2026, followed by the Capacity Training for SKs, LYDOs, and LYDCs (Servant Leadership) conducted on May 22โ24 at Horizon Hotel, Brgy. Lonos, Romblon, Romblon.
Representing the school were Isha Yandei C. Diola, Chairperson of the Senior Cadet Planning Board (SCPB), and Queenie Joszah F. Marceรฑo, Chairperson of the Junior Journalist Guild. Their participation reflected the schoolโs commitment to developing student leaders who are actively engaged in programs that promote values formation and servant leadership.
The two back-to-back events were organized by the Provincial Government of Romblon through the Office of the Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator โ Local Youth Development Division under the leadership of Ms. Shannen Amber Solis Lim-Mendez. The seminar gathered youth leaders from across the province to strengthen leadership skills, promote good values, and encourage servant leadership among the youth.
The participants also had the opportunity to learn from speakers from the National Youth Commission (NYC), Sir Armando V. Angeles Jr. and Sir Brian Carlo H. Barnachea, who facilitated meaningful discussions and activities on how to become servant leaders grounded in strong morals and values that can help uplift the community.
Through the training, the participants gained valuable learnings, experiences, and realizations that will help them become more responsible, compassionate, and service-driven leaders in their respective communities and organizations.
