The Department of Tourism (DOT) MIMAROPA and the Office of Congressman Budoy Madrona, in partnership with the Local Government Unit of San Agustin, Romblon through the Municipal Tourism, Culture, and the Arts Office, invite interested residents to join the 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗚𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 on July 13–18, 2026 in San Agustin, Romblon.

This 𝟳-𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 (including the 1-day training on Filipino Brand of Service Excellence which will run from July 6-9, 2026) will equip participants with the skills to assist, facilitate, entertain, and guide tourists visiting our destinations. It also provides opportunities for livelihood and DOT accreditation.

Inilunsad ng Pamahalaang Bayan ng Calatrava ang opisyal nitong Tourism Portal bilang bahagi ng mga hakbang upang palakasin ang turismo, suportahan ang mga lokal na negosyo, at mapalawak ang digital presence ng bayan.

Sa kanyang mensahe, sinabi ni Mayor Robert “Bong” Fabella na mahalagang hakbang ang portal sa pagpapakilala ng mga destinasyon, produkto, at oportunidad sa bayan sa mas malawak na merkado.

Maaaring bisitahin ng publiko ang opisyal na tourism portal ng bayan sa calatravaromblon.gov.ph upang malaman ang iba pang impormasyon tungkol sa mga destinasyon, accommodation facilities, tourism services, local businesses, events, at investment opportunities sa Calatrava.

Why do many households still lack piped water connections?

A PIDS study finds that fewer than half of Filipino households have piped water at home, and many municipalities reliable water service. The analysis shows that these gaps are linked to differences in water district capacity, infrastructure condition, and service delivery performance.

GOOD NEWS TO ALL BARANGAYS.

All 219 barangays in the province of Romblon are set to receive ₱200,000 each from the Socio-Civic Projects Fund of Malacañang through the Office of the Executive Secretary.

Liga ng mga Barangay (LnB) Romblon Provincial Chapter President Milo Maulion said all barangays in the province qualified for the assistance after complying with the requirements of the program.

Under the program guidelines, half of the fund, or ₱100,000, will be allocated for educational assistance to five scholars who will each receive ₱20,000.

The remaining ₱100,000 will be used to fund community-based projects and programs identified by the respective barangay governments.

The assistance is expected to be distributed during the Strategic Barangay Development Planning activity attended by barangay officials at the St. Pius Auditorium in Odiongan, Romblon. The planning activity started on June 22 and will run until June 30. | via Paul Jaysent Fos
