Today, September 26, we celebrate SaveSierraMadreDay — a reminder that the longest mountain range in the Philippines is still out there doing the heavy lifting, shielding our communities from disasters. Established by former President Noynoy Aquino in 2012, this day calls us to appreciate and protect this natural wonder.

Despite its crucial role, Sierra Madre faces ongoing challenges; it’s under threat from illegal logging, mining, and big projects like the Kaliwa Dam. It’s time we all step up, not just to talk but to act. Because when the mountains call, it’s not just an echo — it’s a shout for help!

Let’s be the voice the Sierra Madre needs and show that when it comes to protecting nature, we mean business. Together, we can keep this giant standing tall for generations to come. 🌿

Congratulations to the Sierra newly invested Rovers Scouts who took part in the Rover Orientation, Vigil, and Investiture Ceremony (ROVIC) on August 23-24, 2025, at the Frisco F. San Juan Sr. Scout Training Camp, Sitio Abuyod, Brgy. Dalig, Teresa, Rizal. This year’s gathering inspired us all under the theme, "Together We Serve."

A scout is never too old to learn, never too young to lead, and always ready to serve.

Saturday at 9:00 PM, the Simaroci officers, joined by Assistant Circle Manager SL. Vincent P. Mayao and Rover Leader RS. Mark Angelo Pautan, successfully led an important online meeting.

The discussion centered on preparations for the upcoming General Assembly and Orientation of Sierra, as well as the much-anticipated ROVIC event scheduled for August 22–23. The sierra remains dedicated to fostering strong leadership and active community involvement moving forward.

𝙎𝙏𝙊𝙍𝙈𝙎 𝙈𝘼𝙔 𝘾𝙊𝙈𝙀, 𝘽𝙐𝙏 𝘽𝘼𝙔𝘼𝙉𝙄𝙃𝘼𝙉 𝙎𝙃𝙄𝙉𝙀𝙎 𝘽𝙍𝙄𝙂𝙃𝙏𝙀𝙍 ✨

In a recent collaborative effort, several scout community and school based have joined forces to support victims of the recent typhoon crisis. The Senior Scouts of SINHS Public Information Committee, Sierra Madre Rover Circle 14, and BSP - Outfit 047 of Gen. Licerio Geronimo MNHS spearheaded a donation drive aimed at providing relief to affected families.

Families at Brgy. Manggahan Covered Court received essential aid as volunteers distributed clothes and meals to those recovering from the recent typhoon. The operation, conducted under the guidance of Kapitana Marivic Angeles Cristobal and other barangay officials, offered immediate relief.

Beyond Brgy. Manggahan, members of the Sierra Madre Rover Circle extended their compassionate outreach to other evacuation centers, including Kasiglahan Senior High School, Kasiglahan Elementary School, and San Jose Elementary School.

The success of this program would not have been possible without the dedication and support of the individuals behind it. We extend our sincere appreciation and gratitude to the donors, supporters, and scouts whose invaluable contributions have made a meaningful difference in the lives of those affected.

Sa araw na ito, hindi lamang natin ginugunita ang katapangan at sakripisyo ng ating mga bayani, kundi pinapalalim din natin ang ating pagmamahal sa bayan—isang diwa na buhay na buhay sa puso ng bawat Scout. Sa pagtutulungan, disiplina, at malasakit, patuloy nating isinasabuhay ang tunay na diwa ng kalayaan.

Mula sa pagtulong sa komunidad hanggang sa paglinang ng mga kasanayan, ang mga Scouts ay handang maging mga tagapangalaga ng ating kalayaan at kinabukasan. Sama-sama tayong magdiwang at magpatuloy sa paglilingkod para sa isang malaya at maunlad na Pilipinas!
