Amidst the crisis we are facing right now, we believe that every decision we make as Sangguniang Kabataan should be guided by one question: "๐ช๐ต๐ฎ๐ ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐ป ๐๐ฟ๐๐น๐ ๐ฏ๐ฒ๐ป๐ฒ๐ณ๐ถ๐ ๐ผ๐๐ฟ ๐ธ๐ฎ๐ฏ๐ฎ๐๐ฎ๐ฎ๐ป ๐ฎ๐ ๐๐ต๐ถ๐ ๐บ๐ผ๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐ ?"
We understand that some may have expected sports activities this year, and yes, we may have been criticized for not organizing them. But leadership is not always about doing what is expected but rather, it is about making difficult choices based on what we believe is most needed.
Every project implemented by the SK undergoes a proper process and is duly recognized and documented. From the preparation of the necessary documents, securing the required signatures and approvals, to the actual implementation, we make sure that every step is carefully followed in accordance with the rules and guidelines governing the Sangguniang Kabataan.
We do not simply decide and implement projects overnight. Every project is carefully planned, discussed, evaluated, and aligned with the needs of our kabataan and the resources available to us.
This year, we chose to prioritize what we believe is more urgently neededโeducational support and other projects that can directly benefit our young people. This does not mean that sports are not important. We recognize the value of sports in promoting health, discipline, teamwork, and camaraderie. However, given the circumstances we are facing, we believe that our limited resources should be directed where they can create the most immediate and meaningful impact.
We hear your concerns, and we also hope that you hear ours.
At the end of the day, our goal remains the same: to serve our kabataan, make responsible decisions, and ensure that every project and every peso entrusted to the SK is used meaningfully and responsibly.
This is not about choosing one group over another. It is about choosing what our kabataan need most at this moment. ๐
