We are pleased to announce that the registration for the 2026 Midyear Training on Quantitative Data Analysis for Social Science Research is now open. The training workshop will be held on 𝟮𝟮-𝟮𝟰 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀, 𝗨𝗣 𝗕𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗶𝗼!

This training workshop introduces participants to the fundamentals of quantitative data analysis. By the end of the program, participants will be able to organize quantitative data and apply descriptive, inferential, and regression analysis. They will also learn to interpret results and communicate insights effectively through data visualization, using tools such as the R programming language.

The workshop combines lecture-discussions, hands-on exercises, and presentations by participants based on real-world datasets to reinforce applied learning.

💻🖍️ We were told every child needs a device, and the earlier, the better.

But is that promise really holding up in early classrooms?

Across the country, 1:1 programs have placed laptops and tablets next to crayons and pencils, even in kindergarten. 📱✏️

The intention was progress. The result may be something else.

Young children learn best through movement, hands-on play, conversation, and real-world experiences. 🤸‍♀️🧩

Screens can support learning, but when they arrive too early and too often, they can quietly replace skills kids still need time to build.

Maybe it is time to pause the pixels and rethink the balance. 📄🌱

More paper, more play, and more connection may be exactly what our youngest learners need right now.

Walang bata ang dapat malagay sa gitna ng armadong hidwaan.

Karapatan ng bawat bata ang mabuhay nang ligtas, makapag-aral, at lumaki sa kapaligirang malaya sa karahasan. Ang pagre-recruit sa kanila ay malinaw na paglabag sa kanilang dignidad at kinabukasan.

Sa paggunita natin ng pagpapatibay ng 1st Optional Protocol for the Convention on the Rights of the Child ngayong 25 Mayo 2026, patuloy ang panawagan ng Commission on Human Rights na tuluyan nang wakasan ang paggamit ng child soldiers. Obligasyon rin ng pamahalaang tiyakin ang maayos na reintegration ng mga bataang nadamay sa ganitong siklo ng karahasan at paglabag sa kanilang mga karapatan.

Ang ating panawagan: ! Ang pangangalaga sa karapatan ng mga bata ay obligasyon ng buong lipunan!

Our BetterGov.PH volunteer, 𝘇𝗵𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶, just launched 𝗕𝗮𝘁𝗮𝘀𝗞𝗼.𝗰𝗼𝗺. It is a free civic education platform that breaks down over 21,000 Philippine laws into plain language (pinasimple), making the law truly accessible to the average citizen.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗕𝗮𝘁𝗮𝘀𝗞𝗼 𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗼 𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰:
✔ Simple explanations of the Constitution, 4 major legal codes, and 176 Republic Acts.
✔ Bilingual translations in English and Filipino, complete with real life scenarios.

✔ A live population counter and deep demographic data.
