BUILDING BRIDGES, PREPARING TO SERVE | TOBOSO, NEGROS OCCIDENTAL
November 16–22, 2026
A productive day of engagement in Negros Occidental as YWAM Ships Philippines continues preparations for our upcoming medical and dental mission outreach in Toboso this November.
Our day began with a coordination meeting with Dir. Arnulfo Ferdinand G. Bajarin, Director for Operations, NS, NTF-ELCAC, and LTC Eric Alfonso, Commanding Officer of the 79th Infantry Battalion, to discuss our ocular site visit and preparations for the upcoming mission.
We also visited the Provincial Capitol of Negros Occidental and made a courtesy call at the Office of Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson, where we were warmly welcomed by Ms. Marie June Castro, Action Officer, Governor’s Office. We are grateful for the provincial government’s openness and support.
Our team then traveled to the 79th Infantry Battalion and continued to Toboso, where we met with Sam Bascar, Mayor’s Executive Assistant, and Albertito Morados to discuss the upcoming outreach and the three communities we hope to serve.
We also visited the 303rd Infantry Brigade, where we had the privilege of meeting COL Jasper Edward Obar, Deputy Brigade Commander, and LTC Jennis Azucena. We are thankful for their warm hospitality, including hosting us for dinner, and for their valuable coordination and partnership.
It was a long but incredibly productive day traveling, building relationships, listening, coordinating, and visiting the communities where we hope to serve.
We are deeply grateful to NTF-ELCAC, the Philippine Army, local government leaders, and our multisectoral partners for working alongside us as we prepare to bring medical, dental, and compassionate care to geographically isolated and disadvantaged communities.
As we look ahead to November 16–22, 2026, we are excited for what lies ahead and grateful for every person helping make this mission possible.
