In Loving Memory of Our Fellow Rotarian, Baron. Rjhay E. Laurea

It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved fellow Rotarian, dear friend, and cherished family member, Rjhay E. Laurea, who left us this morning at 9:42 AM at the Seventh day Adventist Hospital in Puerto Princesa.

Rjhay was rushed to the hospital while waiting at the airport for her flight back to Manila. She had been passionately working on a special project dedicated to supporting and uplifting the Indigenous communities of Palawan a reflection of her heart, her dedication, and her unwavering spirit of Service Above Self.

She was more than just a hardworking woman. Rjhay embodied the values of Rotary in everything she did selfless, driven, and always ready to lend a helping hand. She inspired us not only with her tireless work ethic but also with her compassion, warmth, and the genuine kindness she extended to everyone around her.

For those of us who had the privilege of knowing her, she wasn’t just a colleague or fellow Rotarian she was a sister, a true friend, and a light in our lives. Her absence leaves a silence that will be deeply felt, but her memory, her legacy, and the love she shared with us will live on.

Rest in paradise, Rjhay.
You will always be remembered, always be missed, and forever be in our hearts. Rjhay E Laurea🕊️🤍🕯️

MONSAY COMMUNITY LIBRARY PROJECT. The Rotary Club of QC Pearl of the Orient (RCPO) headed by President Lilibeth "Pres B" Camposano supported the MonSay Community Library project in Barangay Ramon Magsaysay, QC. The project was initiated by RCPO Public Image Committee Chairperson Rjhay E. Laurea and Barangay Ramon Magsaysay Sangguniang Kabataan Chairperson Mikee Santos. It was also supported by their Barangay Chairman Cesar Dionisio, QC Mayor Joy Belmonte, the QC Public Library, and other civil society groups, as well.

END POLIO NOW FOR A BETTER FUTURE. The Rotary Club of QC Pearl of the Orient (RCPO) were among the host clubs from Rotary International District 3780 who participated in the recently concluded End Polio Program held at Barangay Ramon Magsaysay Covered Court, Quezon City by Rotary Districts 3590 (Korea) and 3780 (Philippines) headed by District Governors Deuk You Oh and Veronica Yu, respectively. Aside from delivering end polio drops, the activity also catered anti TB testing, feeding program and gift giving to beneficiaries from 7 barangays namely: Vasra, Project 6, Bagong Pag-asa, Sto. Cristo, Alicia, Ramon Magsaysay and Bahay Toro. The project was also supported by the Quezon City Government through the QC Health Department and Barangay and Community Relations Department.

BARANGAY AND COMMUNITY VISITATION. Rotary Club of QC Pearl of the Orient (RCPO) President Lilibeth "Pres B" Camposano, together with other officers of RCPO and Rotary International District 3780, recently visited and consulted the Quezon City Local Government Unit, several barangay communities and educational institutions which include Barangays Vasra, Bagong Pag-asa, Sto. Cristo, and Ramon Magsaysay to look into possible projects and programs that RCPO can deliver in collaboration with the QC LGU, barangay councils, school administration and other institutions.
