𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗘𝗥𝗬 𝗗𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗜𝗕𝗨𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗠 | 𝗦𝗼𝘁𝗶 𝗞𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗮 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗦𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗮𝗵𝗶, 𝗡𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗹

On August 12, 2025, AYLTC trainees participated in a Stationery Distribution Program held at Barathwa Municipality Ward No. 5, Soti Khola Community, Sarlahi, Nepal. The program was organized by the Lions Club of Satkarma in collaboration with the Family Peace Association Nepal and Service for Nepal.

A total of 50 young learners aged 3–15 received notebooks, pens, and other essential school supplies — a simple but meaningful gesture that supports their access to education and encourages a love for learning from an early age.

𝗧𝗥𝗘𝗘 𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗡𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗔𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗩𝗜𝗧𝗬 | 𝗦𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗮𝗵𝗶, 𝗡𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗹

On August 11, 2025, AYLTC trainees participated in a tree plantation activity at Harion Municipality Ward 4 in collaboration with Service for Nepal. The activity was part of the trainees' broader exposure to social and cultural experiences that go beyond classroom learning.

As aspiring global leaders, trainees are encouraged to engage with real community concerns — including environmental awareness and sustainability. Through this program, they joined local leaders who have long been committed to serving their communities, gaining firsthand experience in what it means to lead with action and responsibility.

𝗔𝗬𝗟𝗧𝗖 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘀 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 | 𝗦𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗮𝗵𝗶 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘁, 𝗡𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗹 | 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟵–𝟭𝟮, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱

From August 9–12, 2025, AYLTC trainees, in collaboration with the SFP Child Center team, conducted campus visitations and seminars at Sarlahi Ambition Academy (85 students) and Orchid Boarding School (60 students), reaching a total of 145 students.

The program promoted Character Education and Heart Leadership values among the students while building meaningful partnerships with school leaders and local officials. It also strengthened the trainees’ skills in communication, leadership, and service, contributing to their growth as young leaders committed to community impact.

𝗥𝗔𝗞𝗦𝗛𝗔 𝗕𝗔𝗡𝗗𝗛𝗔𝗡 𝗖𝗘𝗟𝗘𝗕𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡

AYLTC trainees joined the Raksha Bandhan celebration at the Service for Peace Sarlahi Child Center on August 9, 2025.

Raksha Bandhan is a cherished Nepali and Hindu festival that honors the bond of love, protection, and respect between siblings.

Through this cultural exchange, our trainees experienced the warmth of Nepali tradition—extending love to one another as brothers and sisters beyond language barriers by speaking the universal language of love.

𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽 | 𝗩𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗲, 𝗟𝗮𝗼𝘀 | 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝟮𝟵 – 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟭, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱

AYLTC trainees participated in the “𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽: 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲, 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆” alongside Laotian youth, ranging from high school to university students. Over four days, participants engaged in storytelling workshops facilitated by Ms. Maliwan Woradeth, where they learned to articulate their thoughts and ideas, recognizing the power of their voices as instruments for positive change. Through role plays, interactive activities, and opportunities to share personal stories, trainees developed self-confidence, creativity, and leadership skills while appreciating the perspectives of others.

The program also emphasized cultural exchange and relationship-building, allowing trainees to connect with their Laotian peers and foster bonds as brothers and sisters. On the final day, participants explored Vientiane’s famous landmarks and cultural sites, gaining a deeper understanding and appreciation of the country’s rich heritage, natural beauty, and traditions.

This camp offered a meaningful blend of leadership development, cultural immersion, and personal growth, leaving participants inspired, more self-aware, and equipped to become thoughtful and compassionate leaders in their communities.

𝟲-𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗠𝗘𝗗𝗜𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗜𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗔𝗧 𝗕𝗨𝗗𝗗𝗛𝗔𝗦𝗔𝗥𝗧 𝗧𝗘𝗠𝗣𝗟𝗘

From July 22–27, 2025, AYLTC Trainees participated in a meaningful journey of mindfulness, spiritual discipline, and interfaith learning at Buddhasart Temple in Chonburi, Thailand.

Through sitting, standing, and walking meditation, participants cultivated self-mastery, inner peace, and deeper appreciation of diverse religious traditions.

𝟮𝗡𝗗 𝗔𝗦𝗜𝗔-𝗣𝗔𝗖𝗜𝗙𝗜𝗖 𝗙𝗔𝗠𝗜𝗟𝗬 𝗣𝗘𝗔𝗖𝗘 𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗗𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗛𝗜𝗣 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗙𝗘𝗥𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗘

The 𝟮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝘀𝗶𝗮-𝗣𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰 𝗙𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗣𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 became a transformative experience for AYLTC Trainees as they joined leaders, thinkers, and advocates from across Asia-Pacific last July 17-21, 2025 in Pattaya, Thailand. Over several days, the conference gathered representatives from eight nations, united by a common desire to advance peace, strengthen families, and cultivate leadership grounded in values.

As part of the volunteer staff, the trainees were involved in the coordination and ex*****on of the event—ushering guests, providing media coverage, and offering logistical support. They also participated in the sessions themselves, allowing them to learn directly from distinguished speakers and leaders in interfaith dialogue, education, youth leadership, women’s empowerment, agricultural innovation, and family strengthening.

Anchored on the vision “𝙊𝙣𝙚 𝙁𝙖𝙢𝙞𝙡𝙮 𝙐𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧 𝙂𝙤𝙙 𝙞𝙣 𝙊𝙪𝙧 𝙏𝙞𝙢𝙚,” each plenary highlighted a pillar of peacebuilding essential to shaping the new civilization. Faith leaders emphasized unity beyond religious boundaries; educators discussed the transformative power of value-based learning; youth leaders inspired active global citizenship; and experts in agriculture underscored the necessity of food security for sustainable peace.

This experience not only broadened the trainees’ perspectives but also nurtured their character, leadership skills, and sense of mission. Through cultural exchange, teamwork, and meaningful service, they returned home more equipped and inspired to contribute to the growing movement for peace.

The Shimjung Do Martial Arts Training fosters discipline, balance, and harmony between mind and body. Through dedicated practice, trainees cultivate self-mastery and develop strength in character and spirit.

The Advanced Youth Leadership Training Course (AYLTC) upholds the belief that true leadership begins with the education of the heart. It calls for a paradigm shift in nurturing young leaders—emphasizing moral character, integrity, and a sense of responsibility as the foundation for genuine leadership and capacity building.

Throughout the course, trainees engage in seminars and lectures on leadership development, moral and character education, as well as practical sessions designed to strengthen their confidence and proficiency in public speaking and organizational activities.

Together, envisioning a world of lasting peace, led by young leaders of heart—one step at a time.

On June 3, 2025, the 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲, also known as the Missionary Leadership Training Course, held its opening ceremony at the Royal Institute of Singapore. The program commenced with an opening prayer led by 𝗠𝘀. 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗡. 𝗔𝗹𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗲, Vice President for Operations, followed by welcoming remarks from 𝗗𝗿. 𝗙𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗼 𝗩. 𝗡𝗶𝗱𝘂𝗮𝘀𝗮, Executive Director of the FPA Asia-Pacific Institute for Peace.

An audio-visual presentation was then shown, highlighting the activities and accomplishments of the first batch of trainees, and subsequently introducing the new cohort for the 2025–2026 batch. 𝗗𝗿. 𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗲𝗹 𝗚. 𝗭𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗮𝗻, Regional Chairman of FPA Asia-Pacific, delivered an inspiring message to the trainees, emphasizing the importance of cultivating one’s heart and taking ownership of the Family Peace Association’s vision of “𝙊𝙣𝙚 𝙁𝙖𝙢𝙞𝙡𝙮 𝙐𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧 𝙂𝙤𝙙.”

The highlight of the program was the main address delivered by 𝗗𝗿. 𝗦𝗮𝗺𝘂𝗲𝗹 𝗠. 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝘃𝗮𝗱𝗼𝗿, Chancellor of the Royal Institute of Singapore. He encouraged and guided the trainees by focusing on the development of character and heart, outlining three essential aspects of leadership: 𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘷𝘢𝘯𝘵 leadership, 𝘴𝘩𝘦𝘱𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘥 leadership, and 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘢𝘭 leadership.

The ceremony concluded with a strong pledge of commitment and determination from the trainees as they embarked on their journey to successfully complete the one-year program.
