𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝗙𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆
The 2026 Lao Boh Lim Educational Excellence Awards (LBLEEA), anchored on the theme “Celebrating Excellence as a Family,” marked a meaningful milestone for the Lao Foundation as it continued to honor the legacy and enduring values of the patriarch of the Lao Brothers.
This year’s celebration recognized 472 awardees, representing 312 employees and families of the D&L Group of Companies. More than an awards ceremony, the event became a celebration of the dedication, perseverance, and shared support that make every academic achievement possible. With 927 participants in attendance, the gathering reflected how excellence extends beyond the individual—it is nurtured by families, encouraged by communities, and strengthened by organizations that believe in the potential of every learner.
The celebration was made even more meaningful through the heartfelt stories and messages shared by our awardees. Ms. Cecille Chinalpan and Mr. Melvin Maningas, representing the voices of an awardee and a parent, respectively, offered reflections that highlighted the importance of family encouragement, perseverance, and the value of education. Adding to these inspiring messages were members of the Lao family, themselves former LBLEEA awardees, whose journeys served as a powerful reminder that today's awardees can become tomorrow's source of inspiration for others.
Behind the celebration's success was the collective effort of many people who worked together to make the event possible. The Lao Foundation team extends its heartfelt gratitude to the i-Volunteers and the various business units and departments of the D&L Group of Companies who generously shared their time, energy, and support. We likewise acknowledge the invaluable partnership of the Human Resource Section, headed by Ms. Maricor Lucido and Ms. Angie Borja; the Security Team, headed by Mr. Philip Juntilo; and our Master of Ceremonies, Ms. Erica Lucero, Ms. Judith Cadelario, and Ms. Ma. Beverly Kiak, whose contributions helped create a meaningful and memorable celebration; and the singing voice of Ms. Kezzia Angeline Reyes who serenaded us during the event.
The 2026 LBLEEA reminded us that excellence is never achieved alone. Every award represents not only a student's hard work, but also the sacrifices of parents, the encouragement of families, the guidance of educators, and the support of a community that chooses to invest in education.
As we celebrated the achievements of our awardees, we also celebrated the values that continue to connect generations of the Lao family and the wider D&L community: a commitment to excellence, a belief in the power of education, and the spirit of family that inspires us to help one another grow and succeed.
