A year after the Basic Gender Sensitivity and Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) Seminar for Adolescent Girls, we look back on a meaningful step toward empowering adolescent girls with knowledge of their bodies, their rights, and their health.

The conversations continue, and so does our commitment to creating safe spaces where girls can learn, speak up, and make informed decisions about their lives. 💜🌹

That concludes our Basic Gender Sensitivity-Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights for Adolescent Girls Seminar.

Nakibahagi ang DSWP sa Partnership Forum Learning Session: “Pagtuturo, Para Kanino?” noong October 7, 2026, sa pangunguna ng Likhaan Center for Women's Health Inc. at UNFPA , upang talakayin ang gaps at opportunities sa full implementation ng Reproductive Health Education (RHE) Framework.

Patuloy nating isinusulong ang accessible, inclusive, at rights-based RHE para sa bawat kabataan!

Nakilahok ang DSWP sa National Consultation Workshop for the Philippine Plan for Gender-Transformative Development (PPGD) Successor Plan 2026–2040 noong 21–23 September 2026, sa pangunguna ng Philippine Commission on Women (PCW).

Patuloy tayong nakikilahok at nagsusulong ng gender equality, women’s rights, at gender-transformative development tungo sa isang mas pantay at makatarungang lipunan. 💜🌹

Isang pagbabalik-tanaw sa isang makabuluhang gawain kasama ang mga magulang at guardians ng mga kabataang babae na naabot ng proyektong “Let’s Talk: Normalizing SRHR Conversations to Empower Women and Girls”, na ipinatutupad ng DSWP sa pakikipagtulungan ng programang Her Promise ng Organon Philippines.

Isa sa mga activities ng DSWP noong 2023 sa ilalim ng “Let’s Talk: Normalizing SRHR Conversations to Empower Women and Girls” project with Organon’s Her Promise program, na ginanap sa Camarin, Caloocan City.

Nagkaroon ng SRHR community session kasama ang adolescent mothers at pregnant girls. Kahit may challenges—lalo na sa childcare—dumalo pa rin sila at naging very active sa discussion.

Marami sa kanila ang nag-share ng pangarap na makabalik sa pag-aaral at magkaroon ng mas maayos na future. Pero nakita rin na karamihan ay kulang pa rin sa kaalaman tungkol sa kanilang reproductive health—na nagpapakita kung gaano ka-importante ang patuloy na education at safe spaces for open conversations.

Patuloy tayong maninindigan na bigyang-lakas ang mga kababaihan at kabataan sa pamamagitan ng kaalaman tungkol sa kanilang katawan at kanilang mga karapatan. 💗

Lumahok ang DSWP sa “Usapang Tapat, Gabay sa Pag-unawa: Exploring Beliefs, Dynamics, and Roles of Adolescents and Adults in Sexuality Conversations” noong August 18, 2026 (Tuesday) sa Quezon City, sa pangunguna ng Likhaan Center for Women's Health Inc. at UNFPA, kasama ang mga kabataan, magulang, at nakatatanda.

Tinalakay ni Dr. Holmes ang mahahalagang usapin tungkol sa sexuality at pakikipag-usap sa pagitan ng adolescents at adults.

Isang makabuluhang talakayan tungo sa mas bukas, ligtas, at responsableng pag-uusap tungkol sa Comprehensive Sexuality Education 💜

The Youth and Girls Advancing Liberty and Awareness (YGALA) was officially launched in August 2024 by the Democratic Socialist Women of the Philippines (DSWP) in partnership with Organon Philippines through its Her Promise Program.

This initiative focuses on organizing and empowering adolescent girls by providing them with:

Knowledge on sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR)
Leadership and confidence-building opportunities
Safe spaces for dialogue and peer support
Awareness on gender equality and social issues

The launch marked an important milestone in strengthening youth-led advocacy, especially in promoting informed decision-making, self-confidence, and active participation of young women in their communities.

DSWP participated in the Partnership Forum – Learning Session 3: Adolescent-Friendly Health Facilities, organized by Likhaan Center for Women's Health Inc. in partnership with UNFPA.
