UP Tangway UP Tangway is a duly recognized organization composed of UP Diliman students hailing from Bataan. Under the advisory of Mr.

It has endured 35 years of good and bad times, and has been growing, both in number and accomplishments. Through the years, UP Tangway has changed a lot, but its commitment in serving the province of Bataan and its people, especially the youth, never ceases. Its activities that target academic excellence, camaraderie and assistance to Bataeรฑos continue, and will continue. And its lessons and memor

ies will be passed on from the old generation to the next. HISTORY

December 10, 1985 marked a big chance in the lives of University of the Philippines Diliman students who are from Bataan. The willingness to serve and promote academic excellence, discipline and social awareness became the common ground for these young people. Reil Cruz, an instructor at the Asian Institute of Tourism, on the second semester of that school year, UP Tangway became an official organization of students from Bataan in UP. Bataan is a land form termed as tangway or peninsula. It is a landmass surrounded by bodies of water which unlike an island has a corner connected to another landmass. And so the organization was named Tangway. Through the years, UP Tangway has its share of dilemmas โ€“ financial, political, social, personal โ€“ but for 35 years, Tangwayโ€™s tradition of service and excellence, famous most in Bataan, never ceases.

Going back to our two days at CAReS 2026! From review sessions and discussions to kwentuhans and moments in between, it was great having the chance to spend the weekend with our aspiring Bataeรฑo Iskolars ng Bayan.

Confirmation emails have now been sent to all shortlisted applicants of UP Tangway CAReS 2026 regarding their provisional slots for our entirely FREE two-day UPCAT review sessions.

โฐ Confirmation deadline: July 22, 2026 (Wednesday) - 5:00 PM

Due to the limited capacity of our venue and classrooms, failure to submit the confirmation form within the given deadline will result in the forfeiture of your provisional slot. Unconfirmed slots will be reallocated to other interested applicants to accommodate more students who wish to join the program.

Please be reminded that the deadline is STRICT and FINAL. No appeals or reconsiderations will be entertained after the confirmation period. Wala munang prerog!
