Grade 11 students and their teacher from the Enderun Colleges spent Tuesday afternoon (April 21) in Bantayog to learn and to help.

They learned about Philippine history and our martyrs and heroes and then helped in the Bantayog digitization program by scanning parts of Bantayogโ€™s analog photo collection.

A few of them even helped sweep the grounds.

Last Sunday, the Pedal5 solidarity bike ride stopped over at the Bantayog ng mga Bayani. They offered flowers, held a program, and shared about the lives of those enshrined at the Wall of Remembrance who fought for land, liberty, and environmental justice. The Pedal5 solidarity ride was also a build-up activity for the upcoming 42nd Peoplesโ€™ Cordillera Day on April 24, 2026.

A group of young professionals test-played a game called Diktador: A Role-Playing Card Game last March 30, 2026, Monday, at the Bantayog ng mga Bayani. The event was organized by the groups Project Gunita and the Concerned Artists of the Philippines (CAP). Game participants used immersive play in order to critically engage with the realities of life under the past Marcos dictatorship. Survivors of the Marcos regime, Judy Taguiwalo and Adora Faye de Vera, joined the event.

In hosting activities such as this, Bantayog ng mga Bayani affirms its goal of creating a safe space for remembrance, where young Filipinos can engage with survivors of repression, drawing strength and inspiration from them as the country pursues the struggle for truth, justice, and accountability.

Barangay Pinyahan in Quezon City, where the Bantayog center is, saw a huge fire last night, Friday, March 6. Some 4,000 families, mostly along NIA road, are reported to have lost their homes. Some have sought refuge at a nearby church while others have set up camp on the roadside.

Bantayog is helping in the relief mobilization. Any help is welcome. The people need water, food, hygiene kits, clothes, eating utensils, among others.
