The Philippine Association for Language Teaching, Inc. With its theme, โUpskilling and Upscaling: Moving Up with the 8Ms of Language Teaching,โ the event primarily aims to upskill and upscale language teachers, language researchers, language scholars, professors, students, policymakers, and school administrators in the 8Ms (i.e., 1. Matter, 2. Mentor, 3. Mentee, 4. Material, 5. Method, 6. Measurement, 7. Management, and 8. Milieu) of language teaching. In addition, it seeks to focus on present-day conversations and empirical research on the 8Ms alongside the current trends and issues in language education.
