Last November 29, 2025, the Department of Entrepreneurship held its outreach program themed โKwentuhan at Tawanan: Balik sa Alaalaโ at the Miriam College MMJ Foyer and OLC. The event gathered together senior citizens from our partner community for a joy-filled day of connection, learning, and gratitude.
The event was able to align three key Sustainable Development Goalsโ๐ฆ๐๐ ๐ฏ: ๐๐ผ๐ผ๐ฑ ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐น๐๐ต ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ช๐ฒ๐น๐น-๐๐ฒ๐ถ๐ป๐ด, ๐ฆ๐๐ ๐ญ๐ฌ: ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐ฑ๐๐ฐ๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐๐ป๐ฒ๐พ๐๐ฎ๐น๐ถ๐๐ถ๐ฒ๐, ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ฆ๐๐ ๐ญ๐ญ: ๐ฆ๐๐๐๐ฎ๐ถ๐ป๐ฎ๐ฏ๐น๐ฒ ๐๐ถ๐๐ถ๐ฒ๐ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐ผ๐บ๐บ๐๐ป๐ถ๐๐ถ๐ฒ๐. The program aimed to support intergenerational bonding, highlight community care, and appreciate the wisdom of our elders.
Participants enjoyed a lineup of engaging activities, including classic games like Guess the Song, Name That Object, and Guess Who, bringing nostalgia, laughter, and lively interaction between students and seniors. The program also featured a heartfelt talk by Ms. Aida Z. Duque, who shared insights on maintaining health and wellness, embracing the aging process with positivity, practicing self-care, and fostering meaningful connections within the community.
Everyone left with smiles, stories to share, and treasured memories as the day came to an end with the distribution of giveaways, raffle prizes, and a memorable group photo.
โKwentuhan at Tawanan: Balik Alaalaโ truly embodied the spirit of companionship, service, and solidarity โ a celebration of bridging generations and building a caring community.
