Ang ngiting may kumpyansa ay hindi natitigil sa libreng operasyon.

Sa pamamagitan ng aming malawak na network sa mahigit 75 na bansa, naitataguyod ng Smile Train ang layunin nitong magbigay ng komprehensibong pangangalaga, saan man sa mundo.

Bawat limang minuto, isang bata ang sumasailalim sa nakapagpabagong-buhay na operasyon mula sa isa sa mga katuwang ng Smile Train.

Sa pamamagitan ng pakikipag-katuwang sa mga lokal na medical professionals, mas maraming batang may cleft ang aming nabibigyan ng ngiting malusog at may kumpyansa.

How did Smile Train celebrate last July in the Philippines?

From a photobooth at Philippine Band of Mercy to an awareness talk at Tebow CURE Children's Hospital — every event hoped to bring greater awareness of and support for our local cleft community by highlighting their diverse journeys.

Ang nutrisyon ang isang mahalagang hakbang ng komprehensibong pangangalaga sa cleft. 💙

Para sa mga batang ipinanganak na may clefts, ang wastong nutrisyon ay maaaring maging isang hamon. Bago ang operasyon, maraming sanggol ang nahihirapang kumain, dahilan nang kanilang pagiging mahina pa upang ma-operahan.

Kaya naman sinusuportahan ng Smile Train ang komprehensibong pangangalaga sa cleft, kabilang ang pagpapayo sa nutrisyon at suporta sa pagpapakain, upang matiyak na ang bawat bata ay magiging malusog upang masimulan nang tama ang kanilang cleft journey at tuluyang pagkakaroon ng mas maliliwanag na ngiti.

For babies with clefts, feeding can come with additional challenges. But with the right nutrition guidance and support, families can help their children grow stronger and prepare for the care they need.

For babies with clefts, proper nutrition can be lifesaving.

In this video, our medical partner in Mwanza, Tanzania, explains how feeding challenges can impact a child's health and cleft treatment journey. Without the right support, babies with clefts are at greater risk of malnutrition and even death, making timely care even more critical.

Through training, feeding support, and comprehensive cleft care, Smile Train and our partners are helping families break this cycle and giving children the healthy start they deserve.
