This is a painful reminder of the systemic cruelty animals face globally.😣

Whether it’s a dog left to suffer in a backyard or the strays that don't have anyone to defend them and sold into the barbaric dog meat trade, the message is the same🚨

We are furious that this industry still exists. Dogs are companions, not commodities. They are family, not food.

We will never stop fighting, never stop rescuing, and never stop demanding justice for those who cannot speak for themselves. ✊🐕

Nabuwag ng National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) at National Meat Inspection Service (NMIS) ang isang ilegal na operasyon ng pagproseso at pagbebenta ng karne ng a*o sa Pasay at Makati. Nahuli ang limang Vietnamese nationals matapos ang entrapment operation na nagsimula sa mga ulat tungkol sa pagbebenta ng “hot meat” online.

Kinumpirma ng laboratory test na ang karne ay mula sa a*o. Ayon sa mga awtoridad, labag sa batas sa Pilipinas ang pagkatay at pagbebenta ng dog meat dahil sa panganib sa kalusugan at isyu ng animal cruelty. Patuloy ang imbestigasyon upang matukoy ang iba pang sangkot sa ilegal na kalakalan.

Nala’s journey hasn’t been easy. It breaks our hearts that a domestic cat like her was abandoned, but her resilience shone through. Today, she begins a new chapter with a loving couple who have seen her worth.

Nala is now known as Violet, and she’ll never be lonely again. 💜 Happy life, Violet! You got your Christmas wish! ✨
