I can Read I can Write

Today, we visited two elementary schools in Puerto Princesa. We were welcomed with excitement and a strong eagerness to learn. Read and Write is a non-government organization (NGO), but since we do not have enough resources to fully support the learners, we decided to collaborate with different sectors, such as the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK), to help young learners enhance their reading and writing skills. Our ultimate goal is to reach out to children who are eager to learn and to help them understand the importance of reading and writing.

For our third activity, we are beyond happy and grateful to have played our role with the help of the Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay San Pedro, Puerto Princesa and especially the selected elementary schools (Loreto-Santos Lanzanas Central School Virgilio Magbanua Elementary School). They saw our dedication and commitment to this project. Our vision has turned into reality because of people like them. We are also proud of our volunteers who are always willing to extend their support and share their time to help and teach the learners.

Once again, this project would not have been successful without your support and help. We truly appreciate all the donations we have received since day one. This project started as a dream a vision to help uplift the quality of education in our country and it continues to grow because of your kindness and generosity. Maraming salamat po! 📚

Why do we choose children as the beneficiaries of our activities?

In children, we see genuine joy and pure love in what we offer them. They bring us immense happiness and inspire us to continue our journey to close or at least lessen the learning gap in our country’s educational system. Small steps may seem insignificant, yet they help us create big dreams for these young learners.

We believe that one day, no child will be unable to read and write.

This is our first activity in a selected elementary school in Puerto Princesa (Abanico Elementary School).

To our volunteers, learners, and those who gave gifts for the kids, thank you very much.

We enjoyed it, and they learned. 📝📚
