Last December 19-20, 2024, the SSCSP Palawan Chapter, with the support of the Tactical Operations Wing West, Philippine Air Force, organized a Youth Leadership Summit with the theme "Strengthening Ideas, Navigating Ambitions, Generating Actions, and Leading as Builders" (SINAG-ALAB). It was held at ABAB Marquez Hall, TOWWEST, Puerto Princesa City, Palawan.
The second and final day of the YLS: SINAG-ALAB, organized by SSCSP-Palawan Chapter, was filled with activities that strengthened camaraderie, built teamwork, and inspired the delegates to continue their journey as youth leaders.
The day began with an orientation for the much-awaited Amazing Race, followed by a spirited Yell Presentation where each group showcased their creativity, unity, and enthusiasm. Participants then prepared for the highlight of the morning, the Team Building Activity: Amazing Race, which tested their teamwork, problem-solving skills, and resilience through fun yet challenging tasks. A boodle fight lunch once again fostered fellowship among the delegates, reinforcing bonds that had been built since the first day of the summit. After lunch, the participants were treated to an ABAB Tour, which provided them with new experiences and insights outside the usual seminar setting.
In the afternoon, preparations were made for the social gathering, which was set to celebrate the achievements and shared experiences of the participants. The session was enriched by an Inspirational Message from BGEN Erick Q Escarcha PAF, Wing Commander of TOWWEST, who reminded the youth of their critical role in leadership, service, and safeguarding the nationโs future. The summit then honored its participants through the Awarding of YLS Graduates, recognizing the completion of the two-day leadership journey. This was followed by a Social Gathering, a time of fellowship, fun, and connection, where winners of the group competitions were also recognized in the Awarding of Winners.
The program concluded with the Closing Remarks of Mr. Romar R. Laguna, SSCSP-Palawan Vice President External, who expressed gratitude to the participants, speakers, and partner organizations. He encouraged the youth to carry forward the lessons they learned and to embody the summitโs vision to Serve, Lead, and Transform.
The successful conclusion of the two-day Youth Leadership Summit was made possible with the active participation of youth leaders from SSCSP Palawan, Eagle Scouts Organization of the Philippines โ Puerto Princesa Council, 420th Naval Reserve Officers' Training Corp, and Mata ng Bayan Palawan Youth.
Together, we continue to Serve, Lead, and Transform. ๐ค๐๐
