The University Student Government - Tiniguiban officially marks the beginning of a new chapter in student governance following the Oath-Taking Ceremony held on July 6, 2026, officiated by Dr. Carlos Alfonso C. Salvador, Dean of the Office of Student Affairs and Services. The ceremony formally installed the newly designated President, Vice President, and Senate Pro-Tempore, signifying the orderly and constitutional transition of leadership within the organization.
The University Student Government extends its sincere appreciation to Dr. Salvador for administering the oath of office and for the Office of Student Affairs and Services' continued guidance and unwavering support in upholding effective and principled student governance.
Pursuant to the rules of succession prescribed under Article XIX of the USG Constitution, constitutional protocols were promptly implemented to ensure the continuity and stability of student governance following the vacancies created by the departure of former USG-Tiniguiban President Jayzce S. Dador, former Vice President Pilsam C. Sotelo Jr., and former Senate Pro-Tempore Jaster A. Sumalbag.
The University Student Government likewise expresses its heartfelt gratitude to these former officers for their dedication, commitment, and invaluable service to the student body during their respective terms. Their contributions to the University Student Government and the Palawan State University community are sincerely recognized and appreciated. We wish them continued success in their future endeavors.
The University Student Government formally welcomes and introduces its new executive and legislative officers:
โข Sen. Jhon Grover Longsud, formerly the Senate Pro-Tempore-in-Waiting, who has officially assumed the Office of the President;
โข Sen. Aera Sherlenedria B. Villamil, formerly the Vice President-in-Waiting, who has officially assumed the Office of the Vice President; and
โข Sen. Kirby Gujilde, who has been duly elected as the new Senate Pro-Tempore and will serve as one of the leaders of the Legislative Department.
This institutional transition reflects the University Student Government's steadfast commitment to upholding constitutional processes, ensuring continuity of leadership, and promoting transparent, accountable, and effective governance. As the new administration begins its mandate, the University Student Government calls upon the entire Palawan State University community to extend its full cooperation and support in advancing initiatives that promote student welfare, representation, and service.
Together, let this transition reaffirm our shared commitment to servant leadership, unity, and excellence in serving the students of Palawan State University!๐งก
