Retention Pond vs. Detention Pond—unsa’y kalainan?

Both help manage stormwater and reduce flooding, but they work differently:

💧 Retention Pond — permanently holds water.
It stores runoff, allows sediments to settle, and can also support vegetation and wildlife.

⏳ Detention Pond — temporarily holds rainwater during heavy rainfall, then slowly releases it to drainage systems or waterways.

In simple terms:
Retention = keeps water
Detention = delays water

These are examples of how engineering and science can help communities better manage intense rainfall and reduce flood risk.

Ang doxycycline ay isang antibiotic na ginagamit laban sa Leptospirosis.

Kapag mali ang pag-inom, pwedeng mawalan ito ng bisa laban sa mga mikrobyo at maging mas mahirap gamutin ang simpleng impeksyon. Pwede itong humantong sa matagal o mas matinding pagkakasakit.

Nakadepende ang pag-inom ng doxycycline sa exposure o risk level ng taong nalubog sa baha.

Payo ng DOH, magpatingin sa doktor para sa tamang reseta sa paggamit ng antibiotic na ito.

🧹♻️ BARANGAY KALINISAN, TUNGO SA ISANG MALUSOG, LIGTAS, AT MATIWASAY NA PAMAYANAN ✨

Sa patuloy na implementasyon ng Barangay at Kalinisan Day (BarKaDa), nakilahok ang mga barangays ng Pozorrubio sa pangunguna ng mga Punong Barangays, miyembro ng Sanggunian, tauhan, at volunteers sa pagsasagawa ng lingguhang clean-up drive sa mga pampublikong lugar, lansangan, at katubigan sa komunidad.

Alinsunod ito sa DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2023-133 na naga-atas sa mga barangays na magsagawa ng lingguhang paglilinis sa kanilang nasasakupang lugar.

Inirerekomenda ang pagsasagawa ng clean-up tuwing araw ng Sabado upang mas mahikayat ang malawak na pakikilahok ng mga grupo at indibidwal na may malasakit sa kapaligiran.

Kaya't taos-pusong pasasalamat ang ipinaa-abot ng LGU-MENRO sa mga grupo at indibidwal sa pagpapanatiling maayos, masinop, at malinis ang ating bayan.

Inaanyayahan ang lahat na makilahok sa mga paglilinis na inilulunsad sa inyong komunidad at makibahagi sa mga katulad na gawain dahil shared responsibility natin ang tamang pangangasiwa ng basura at pangangalaga sa kapaligiran.
