🌿 A proud milestone for the La Salle Botanical Gardens!

The conceptual design of LSBG—a collaboration between SGS Designs Landscape Architecture and Gross Max Landscape Architects (UK)—was honored with the Excellence Award in the Professional Conceptual Landscape Category at the Awards last night during the National Convention held at the Quezon City MICE.

This recognition comes at a perfect time — following our recent groundbreaking ceremony and with land development now in progress! 🌱✨ Congratulations to the project team and thank you to our partners for this inspiring collaboration. 💚

Plant Provenance aka plant passport: Why It Matters More Than Ever 🌿

When we think of provenance, we often associate it with art, tracing the history of ownership to verify authenticity. But did you know that plant provenance is just as crucial? With plant theft on the rise, tracking a plant’s origin has become essential.

Just like fine art, rare plants are now highly prized in the black-market trade, an illegal demand that is driving the removal of endangered species from their native ecosystems and sometimes even from the very gardens working to protect them.

By raising awareness and prioritising ethical sourcing, we can help safeguard these irreplaceable plants. 🌱
