MAKATI COOPERATIVE CONGRESS 2026
MAKATI CITY – Key cooperative leaders in the city converged on April 15, 2026, as the Cooperative Development Council of Makati, together with the Makati Cooperative Development Office, Union of Primary Cooperatives of Makati, and Federation of Makati Cooperatives, staged the Makati Cooperative Congress and Election of Officers at the Bacolod Inasal Function Room.

Mr. Jerome Bio of CDA-NCR opened the discussions with insights on Common Findings includinga Issues and Concerns facing Makati cooperatives. Ms. Prima Sarah Parangue, also from CDA-NCR then tackled Guidelines for Establishing FCPAM among CDA-Regulated Entities.

Chairperson Leonardo Pasquito presented his annual report in the afternoon session before CDA representatives facilitated the election of the Council’s new officers.

CDCM Officers Actively Participates Koop Kalinga Day in Makati!

Makati City - In celebration of Cooperative Month, the Council Officers, led by Chair Leonardo Pasquito, participated in the Koop Kalinga Day as part of Cooperative Social Reapobsibility of Primary Coops. The event was held on October 14 at Makati City Hall Building 1 from 9 am to 12 nn. Mayor Nancy Binay, Vice Mayor Kid Peña and Councilors graced the the event and gave Inspirational Messages. Sponsor cooperatives provided essential goods, groceries, rice, and school supplies to over 200 beneficiaries, including persons with disabilities and senior citizens. This Koop Kalinga Day was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the Makati City Development Office (MCDO), Cooperative Development Council of Makati (CDCM), Federation of Makati Cooperatives (FEMACO), Union of Primary Cooperatives in Makati (UPCM), and Makati Social Welfare Department (MSWD).

CHAIR PASQUITO ATTENDS NATIONAL COOPERATIVE SUMMIT
Dr. Leonardo Pasquito, Chair of the Cooperative Development Council, along with Dr. Cipriano Guarin, Vice Chair, and committee members, represented the council at the National Cooperative Summit on October 9-10, 2025, at the Summit Hotel in Baguio City. The summit brought together over 2,000 cooperative leaders from across the nation to discuss key issues and explore opportunities for inter-regional cooperation, with the largest delegations hailing from Luzon. The event is expected to create new opportunities for cooperatives in Makati and beyond, fostering economic growth and development through collaborative efforts.

The Council Executive Officers and Committee members, led by Chair Leonardo Pasquito, convened today to talk about updates on Cooperative Month Celebrations, finalize Koop Kalinga Program this 3rd week of October and last quarter General Assembly.

MONTHLY EXECUTIVE OFFICERS MEETING
The Executive Officers led by Dr. Leonardo Pasquito, together with Committee members convened today, September 17, at the MCDO Conference Room, 5th floor, Makati City Hall, to discuss the implementation of activities for Cooperative Month Celebrations this October. Major concerns were focused on the implementations of Koop Kalinga Program. Aside from Executive Officers, present were CDS, Ms Malou Valencia and Ms Ludi Manaog, representatives of Councilor Armando Padilla, MCDO Head Ms Vivian Gabriel, Secretariat, and Committe Members.
