PYV sets the record straight this School Student Council Elections — no to fake credentials. 🙅🙅‍♀️🙅‍♂️

Good day, Youth Leaders!

In choosing our leaders, we value 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆, 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆.

This is an 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 from a youth-led organization in response to a recent concern raised by a fellow student.

It has come to our attention that our organization was listed as part of someone’s credentials in a student election. We would like to clarify that 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗱𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽 𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗰𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆—has not attended any meetings, participated in our activities, or coordinated with us in any form.

We would also like to clarify that 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗱𝗼 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗳𝗹𝗮𝘂𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗿 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗮 𝗯𝗶𝗴 𝗱𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽. This is out of respect for our agreed privacy and internal guidelines. Kaya hindi rin namin ito ginagamit o inilalagay sa credentials for school elections. Some of our members are running as candidates in their respective schools, pero 𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶 𝗻𝗶𝗹𝗮 𝗶𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗿 𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗶𝘁 — in line with our group’s internal agreements.

As previously mentioned, we are also in the process of 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗲 and will no longer be affiliated with TYV — kaya isa pa itong dahilan kung bakit hindi muna dapat gamitin ang organization bilang credential sa pangangampanya.

We are posting this not to shame anyone, but to 𝘂𝗽𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽. This is not a personal attack, nor an endorsement or opposition to any group — just a 𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽.

Naglabas lang kami ng statement to 𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗲 and to help ensure a 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. We remain open to clarifying the matter with the concerned party.

We stay focused on our advocacy and service to the youth — grounded in 𝗵𝘂𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲.

Inaatasan ang lahat ng kandidato at partido na alisin o ipaalis ang lahat ng kanilang election propaganda o campaign materials 𝘀𝗮 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗯 𝗻𝗴 𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗴 (𝟱) 𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘄 𝗺𝘂𝗹𝗮 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗗𝗮𝘆, 𝗼 𝟭𝟮 𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱.

Hindi dito nagtatapos ang responsibilidad ng mga tumakbo sa eleksyon. Maging huwaran sa tamang pamumuno.
