POINT

Is a zero dimentional location in Geometry.

Is a straight one dimentional figure that extends infinitely. Ending with arrowheads on both sides.

LINE SEGMENT

A specific portion of a straight line that is bounded by two distinct endpoints. It has a fixed measurable length which makes it different from the line, always ending with a point.

It is a straight line with a starting point that extends infinitely on its other end. starting with a point from one part, and an arrowhead on the other side.

PERPENDICULAR LINES

Are lines that intersect at a 90° angle right angle.

PARALLEL LINES

Are lines on a flat plane that are always the same distance apart and never intersect.

INTERSECTING LINES

Are two or more lines that cross each other in the same plane and create both acute and obtuse angles. This makes it different from the Perpendicular line because it isn't perfectly 90°.

Are formed by two rays that share a vertex, or is transversal.

A line that crosses two or more lines.

-Interior Angles

Are angles inside a polygon formed when two adjacent sides meet.

-Congruent and Supplementary Angles

Congruent has the same value of Angles

Angle 1 = 75°
Angle 8 = 75°

-Consecutive and Alternate Angles

Consecutive Angles share a common side. An Alternate Angle are angles on the opportunity side of a transversal. There are Consecutive interior and exterior angles. There are also Alternate interior and exterior angles.

A pair of angles that appear on the same side of a transversal.

LAW OF SINES
It is a foundational trigonometric equation that relates the lengths of the sides of any triangle to the sines of its opposite angles.

📐 Types of Triangle and Trigonometry

🔹 Two main types of Triangle.
•Right Triangl
•Oblique Triangle

🔹 Right Triangle
•A triangle with one right angle.
•A right triangle has one 90°angle.

🔸 Parts of the Right Triangle
•Hypotenuse: Longest side, opposite the 90° angle.

•Opposite side: Across from the angle you are using.

•Adjacent side: Beside the angle.

🔹 Oblique Triangle
-An oblique triangle is anything which does not contain a right angle.
-An oblique triangle is a triangle with NO 90° angle.

🔸 There are two types:
•Acute triangle: All angles less than 90°.

•Obtuse triangle: One angle greater than 90°.

MEAN MEDIAN AND MODE

These three are primary ways to find the "average," or central value within a set of data.

-Mean solves for the average. It's considered the easiest of the three. It is the total sum of values in a set divided by the number of values.

A={1, 2, 3, 4, 5}
1+2+3+4+5 = 15
15÷5 = 3

3 is your Mean

-Median is the number in the middle of a data set arranged from increasing to decreasing.

A={1,2,3,4,5,} or A={5,4,3,2,1}

3 is the number in the middle, so that would be your Median. However in most cases, there are two numbers

A={1,2,3,4,5,6}

To solve, add the two numbers in the middle and divide by two to find its average.

3+4 = 7
7÷2 = 3.5

3.5 is your Median

-Mode the number that frequently appears in the set.

A={1,1,2,3,4,5,5,5,}

5 appeared 3 times, so 5 is your Mode

Or in most cases, there are two Modes. That makes the data bimodal.

A={1,2,2,2,3,3,4,4,4,5,}

2 and 4 are bimodal because they both appeared 3 times in the set.

CLASSIFICATION OF POLYNOMIALS

-Polynomials is a mathematical expression that contains variables and coefficients. It involves 4 basic operations – Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication and Division. It also contains non negative exponents and the denominator must be a number.

-Monomials are Polynomials with one term.

POLYGONS

A polygon is a flat, closed shape built only with straight lines — no curves, no gaps, no crossing parts. Think of it as a shape you can draw neatly using only a ruler.

It must have at least 3 sides. Here are the common ones:

- 3 sides = Triangle
- 4 sides = Quadrilateral — like squares, rectangles, rhombuses, and trapezoids
- 5 sides = Pentagon
- 6 sides = Hexagon
- 7 sides = Heptagon
- 8 sides = Octagon
- 9 sides = Nonagon
- 10 sides = Decagon

Polygons come in two styles:

- Regular: All sides and angles are exactly the same — balanced and even
- Irregular: Sides or angles have different lengths or sizes — still a polygon, just not uniform

Shapes that are NOT polygons: Circles, ovals, open outlines, or anything with curved edges.

LINE SEGMENT

A line segment is simply a straight piece of a line with two clear endpoints. It has a fixed length you can measure with a ruler — unlike a line that stretches forever in both directions. It’s the basic building block used to make all polygons and angles.

ANGLES

An angle forms when two line segments meet at a single point called the vertex. It tells you how wide or narrow the opening between the lines is, measured in degrees.

Types of angles:

- Acute: Small and sharp — less than 90 degrees
- Right: Exactly 90 degrees — looks like the perfect corner of a book or square
- Obtuse: Wider open — more than 90 degrees but less than 180 degrees
- Straight: Exactly 180 degrees — lays flat as a straight line
- Reflex: Opens very wide — more than 180 degrees but less than 360 degrees
- Full rotation: Exactly 360 degrees — makes one complete turn around

PAIRS OF ANGLES

Adjacent angles sit right next to each other — they share the same corner point and one side, but never overlap.

Vertical or opposite angles pop up when two lines cross each other. They face each other directly and always have the exact same size.

Complementary angles work together to make a perfect right angle — their measures add up to 90 degrees.

Supplementary angles combine to form a straight line — their measures add up to 180 degrees.

Linear pair is a special set of adjacent angles that add up to 180 degrees and form a straight line together.
