The current landscape of foundational literacy in our country presents an urgent structural challenge. Recent international metrics indicate a critical learning poverty rate of 90% in the Philippines, revealing that 9 out of 10 Filipino children aged 10 experience severe difficulties in reading and comprehending simple text. Isang napakabigat na katotohanan na hindi natin pwedeng basta na lang talikuran.
Dahil bawat bata ay may karapatan. Karapatang magkaroon ng de-kalidad na edukasyon, malinang ang kanilang likas na talino, at humawak ng isang masagana at maliwanag na kinabukasan nang walang naiiwan. Ang karunungan ay hindi dapat maging isang pribilehiyo para sa iilan lamang; ito ay batayang karapatan na dapat marating ng bawat kabataan.
Building upon the successes of our initial phase, we have officially launched PROJECT KULAY 2.0: Ashleyโs Mobile Library and Literacy Caravan at Bagacay Elementary School. We extend our deepest gratitude to Ms. Ashley Palmares and her family for their visionary leadership, sacrifice, and unwavering support that serves as the heartbeat of this entire movement.
This high-impact educational deployment successfully delivered interactive educational storytelling sessions to sharpen auditory comprehension and distributed premium scholastic materials to equip every student for their daily classes. Sa pamamagitan ng mga kwento at bagong kagamitan sa pag-aaral, muling nabuhay ang sigla at imahinasyon ng mga mag-aaral.
The definitive highlight of the day was the official roll-out of our Mobile Library Cart. This resource framework will remain stationed at Bagacay Elementary School for a three-week rotation, granting students direct access to high-quality, curated literature before advancing to the next public school in the division. Ang library na ito na gulong ang nagdadala ay magsisbing katuwang ng mga bata upang maitanim sa kanila ang panghabambuhay na pagmamahal sa pagbabasa.
What we achieved today demonstrates the true power of structured youth civic action and institutional collaboration. Sa pagtutulungan ng bawat isa, pinatunayan natin na kayang-kaya nating basagin ang mga pader na humahadlang sa pagkatuto ng ating mga kabataan. We express our highest gratitude to all partners, stakeholders, and volunteers who made this deployment an absolute success.
