I want to thank everyone who ordered our shirts. What an encouragement it is to see people wearing them. Thank you for all your support! I am going back to the drawing board to draft new designs! Stay tuned.
Thank you also to all of you who joined and supported us during our online benefit concert. Special thanks to the singers and instrumentalists, who gave their time, effort, and talent to bless us with the gift of music.
Here’s a quick health update… I went to my cardiologist for a check up and went through a battery of tests—including a Dobutamine Stress Echocardiogram—and by God’s grace, the results have been encouraging. We will be going to my vascular doctor next to have my fistula checked and inquire about having a new one made. I am also due to have my bloodwork updated with the cadaveric transplant program. On top of all that, my health card just expired this week. It might be a while before I get a new HMO since I am still unemployed. Please do keep me in your prayers.
Meanwhile, it’s been a month since I started having my dialysis at a new facility. It has been a smooth transition and we are thankful to all the staff and co-patients, who have made us feel welcome and cared for.
These past few weeks have been troubling. With the conflict in the Middle East, the price of gas and commodities skyrocketing, and the unresolved corruption cases in the country, it is so easy to feel discouraged and hopeless. I can’t help but think about my family and their future, considering my condition. Then I remembered Paul’s admonition to the Philippian church, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.” Philippians 4:6-8. This passage reminded me not to dwell on the all the craziness going on around us, but instead focus on the blessings we have in light of the goodness of God. When there’s a need, we can approach Him in prayer and trust in His loving kindness and faithfulness. In spite of all of our challenges, there is still so much more to be thankful for. Even with all our needs, the Lord knows them and He will provide.
Thank you again to all of you who continue to support me, check on my family, and continue to keep all of us in your prayers! Thank you all!
