MEOWraming Salamat po, Petsup PH 🤍

Petsup PH donated 2 sacks of Complete Nutrition Dry Cat Food to Santolan Animal Welfare Society para sa mga stray cats and rescues dito sa Santolan. 🐱

This is a part of —an initiative that supports rescuers, shelters, and animal welfare groups through product and supply donations.

Sobrang laking tulong nito sa amin. Mas marami pa kaming mapapakain na mga pusang gala, mga fur babies na araw-araw naghahanap ng makakain at mga pusang nabigyan ng pangalawang pagkakataong mabuhay.

Us from SAWS, we’re a volunteer-driven group dedicated to helping stray animals while educating Santoleños about responsible pet ownership.

Isa sa main focus namin ang Kapon Project, in partnership with trusted vets, para mabawasan ang overpopulation—lalo na’t marami pa ring pusang tinatapon kung saan-saan. Kasabay nito, tuloy-tuloy din ang stray feeding programs namin para sa mga community cats.

MEOWraming salamat, Petibox! 🤍

SAWS is very greateful to Petibox for donating Petibox Wet Cat Food Meaty Mousse and VitaStrips Cat Treats to Santolan Animal Welfare Society—para sa mga stray at rescue cats namin dito sa Santolan. 🐱

Malaking tulong talaga ito sa amin. Dahil dito, mas marami pa kaming mapapakain—mula sa mga pusang gala sa kalsada hanggang sa mga rescues na unti-unting bumabangon at nagkakaroon ng second chance sa buhay.

Ang SAWS ay isang volunteer-led group na patuloy na tumutulong sa mga stray animals at nagpo-promote ng responsible pet ownership sa ating community.

Patuloy din naming isinusulong ang Kapon Project, katuwang ang mga trusted vets, para mabawasan ang overpopulation at ang patuloy na pagtatapon ng mga pusa. Kasabay nito ang regular naming stray feeding efforts para sa community cats.

Maraming salamat, Petibox, sa tiwala at suporta ninyo. 💚
Napakalaking bagay nito para sa mga hayop na aming inaalagaan.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our dear Isla 🐾🕊️

Despite the immediate rescue, confinement at Vetlink, and the dedicated care of the veterinarians, Isla’s body was simply too weak to keep fighting. Being a senior cat and likely stranded on the center island for a long time had already taken a severe toll on her.

Though her time with us was short, we find comfort in knowing that Isla did not pass alone, scared, or suffering on the road. In her final moments, she was safe, cared for, and surrounded by people who chose compassion.

We still need P3,950 to fully cover Isla’s veterinary bills.

Update on Isla the Cat 🐾

Thank you to everyone who showed concern, shared our post, and extended help for Isla.

Isla is now confined at Vetlink Animal Clinic, where she is being closely monitored and well taken care of by the veterinarians.

So far, we have received ₱1,000 in donations — and we are truly grateful for your kindness and generosity.

Based on the initial assessment, Isla is already a senior cat, and it appears that she may have been stranded on the center island for quite some time. This likely caused her severe dehydration and lethargy when she was rescued.

She still needs continued medical care, monitoring, and support as she fights to recover.

We are humbly asking for your continued prayers and assistance for Isla’s confinement, medications, and other veterinary needs.

Rescue Story: Isla the Cat 🐾

Yesterday, February 9, 2026, a distress message was sent to our volunteers’ GC — a cat was stranded on the center island of Marcos Highway, Santolan (near LRT-2), surrounded by fast-moving vehicles and in great danger.

Without hesitation, SAWS Admins Angelina and Mai rushed to the area and made extraordinary efforts to save her, with the invaluable help of the Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS).

Through teamwork and compassion, Isla was safely rescued before the unimaginable could happen.

Upon rescue, Isla appeared weak and dehydrated. She is now under the care of Admins Mai and Angelina and will need medical attention, monitoring, and recovery support.
