The Eastern Police District (EPD) successfully conducted the Culminating Ceremony of the 2026 National Women’s Month Celebration at approximately 9:00 AM on March 30, 2026, held at the EPD Multi-Purpose Hall, Caruncho Avenue, Barangay Malinao, Pasig City. The activity was facilitated and organized by the FJGAD Section of the District Community Affairs and Development Division (DCADD), under the leadership of PCOL CELERINO M SACRO, JR., Chief, DCADD.
The activity was graced by HON. JAREN D. FELICIANO, Councilor of District II, Marikina City, who served as the Guest of Honor and Speaker. He was joined by PBGEN ADEN T LAGRADANTE, District Director, together with the EPD Command Group and District Staff. In his message, HON. FELICIANO emphasized that every female must embody the spirit of a “Babaylan”, a leader who inspires, takes initiative, and makes a meaningful difference in the community and in their respective fields of service.
One of the highlights of the ceremony was the presentation of Certificates of Recognition to deserving EPD female personnel in acknowledgment of their outstanding accomplishments. Plaques of Appreciation were also awarded to civilian partners and stakeholders for their invaluable support to the programs and activities of the Eastern Police District.
The celebration also featured an intermission number performed by the EPD Babaylan Dancers, adding cultural significance and vibrancy to the event.
The observance of Women’s Month serves as a vital reminder of the significant contributions of women in society, while promoting gender equality, empowerment, and the continued recognition of women’s roles in nation-building and community development.
