To be able to dump and forget the woman who gave birth to your children, or your own mother, speaks volumes about your moral values and conscience.
This is not a telenovela but real life. A David and Goliath tale even.
Edna Blardony Miranda created heirs, a female and male, for Joaquin Kinet Miranda.
Soon after, she found herself merely living off the kindness of her siblings.
And it was while she was residing in her sister's house that a wedding contract was delivered, for her to sign. It seems for the education/ enrollment purposes of the children, parents must be married.
The Miranda family is living in the lap of wealth and luxury while their Mother is living like a pauper. She could very well be among the STREETDWELLERS if not for three of her Blardony siblings having pity on her, taking turns sheltering, feeding and clothing her.
In spite of the Mirandas' abandonment, she always puts in kind words about them. Bragging about how rich and influential they are, owning various properties and businesses (Singson bldg, Bonifacio market) in Manila and Mindoro, how her children are very intelligent and well-mannered, proudly stating their accolades and so on. She utters nothing but praises for the Mirandas who turned their backs on her, as she loves her family more than her life itself and even worries about the monetary inheritance she will leave them when she is gone. She fiercely protects them.
Why they have callously abandoned her, we do not know. Perhaps they might have been ashamed of her?
Because Edna Blardony Miranda had always been mentally unstable, prone to long bouts of depression, breakdowns, hallucinations, murmuring alone. Even urinating and defecating on herself. This is what her Blardony siblings have to endure, cleaning up after her mess. They have done so for nearly four decades. But now they are old, senior citizens as well. They are sick too and hospitalized and have not the strength same as before, to still carry such burden.
Where is justice here?
This is the purpose of this post:
The Blardony family is not asking for a simple thank you, and not even a single centavo as repayment.
The only thing is for the Miranda family to take care of their own flesh and blood.
To the Mirandas, she wants her children to take her and care for her, but if it disgusts you to see or touch your sick Mama, and do not want anything to do with her, at least bring her into a home for the aged and pay them directly for your mother's stay there.
Do not escape your responsibility. Fulfill your filial duty like a decent human.
We have been trying to contact them for years but they have been avoidant, and due to their riches and power, threatens us instead.
For anyone who can reach them, please help, for the sake of Edna Blardony Miranda who has suffered more than enough.
