Update:
Its gonna take a while before it sinks in, but we are very sad for these poor souls who will never get the chance to run freely on green grass anymore nor play with the other dogs without getting hit by vehicles or go on a day without worrying where they will get their food.. We tried our best to save them and planned quickly for a rescue mission but somehow the stars didn't align for these babies. But who do we blame? They have been waiting in vain for 3 weeks in the Brgy holding area but no one claimed them, no one adopted them and gathering rescue supplies nowadays is nearly impossible. We just can't do it alone. And while we are waiting for the requests letters to be approved and supplies to come in, we saw a post that alerted us they were already transported to the City Pound. After learning that, we reached out right away and expressed our intention to rescue them and bring to a shelter but the message somehow got lost in transition and was never relayed to key persons to having their lives kept,.72 hrs lapsed and all of them where put to sleep already..we are grieving for their lives😔..we are grieving because the system doesnt favor those abandoned/neglected and those who didnt choose to be born in the streets. We are praying that they are all happily playing now in God's Paradise. But we cant stop just yet. It is a cycle yes. They Catch, Put in the Pound, We Rescue. Until the local govt realizes and is more cost effective and humane, then we just got to try to save whenever and however we can.
Urgent Request for Help🙏..Just the other day we where informed that the dogs from the brgy pound who have been waiting for our next transport to the shelter where already brought to the City Pound and have a very limited time to either get adopted or claimed by their owners( if they where owned). The plight of animal rescue is the fact that sustaining rescue supplies is as hard as getting them rescued on time. We are humbly asking for everyone's help to give these abandoned/lost/stray animals a second chance at life.
We believe every animal deserves the opportunity to live, heal, and find a safe and loving home.
