Day 2 of ππ€ππ€ππ†π”π‹π„π˜ πŸπŸŽπŸπŸ” ✨

On May 29, 2026, the second day of PANANGULEY 2026 continued to empower young leaders through meaningful discussions and engaging activities. Organized by the Big Three organizations headed by SSLG, together with BKB and YES-O, the event provided valuable insights on leadership, inclusivity, and governance.

BKB President Jhayden Vrylle Mejia, representing Ma’am Jackielou Decena, emphasized that leadership is not a privilege but a responsibility. Mr. Angelo E. Tejoso discussed Gender and Development (GAD), while Councilor Kyle Gaspar shared his inspiring leadership journey and experiences in public service.

The participants also enjoyed a cross-organization singing energizer before concluding the day with a session on Parliamentary Meetings and Robert’s Rules of Order facilitated by SSLG President Kurt Martin Bautista.

Day 1 of ππ€ππ€ππ†π”π‹π„π˜ πŸπŸŽπŸπŸ” ✨

On May 28, 2026, the Big Three organizations headed by SSLG, together with BKB and YES-O, successfully launched the first day of PANANGULEY 2026. Student leaders from Bued National High School and Doyong-Malabago National High School also joined the activity, making the event more meaningful and collaborative.

The participants gained valuable insights on leadership, youth empowerment, and good governance through meaningful discussions led by the invited speakers. SK Federation President Narayana Rsi Das B. Mesina discussed the importance of Good Governance, while SSLG President Kurt Martin Bautista shared lessons about Constitution and By-Laws and their role in strengthening leadership and organizations.

The MDRRMO representatives, Mr. Zaldy Malit and Ms. Jessa Reyes, also conducted an emergency preparedness, first aid response and CPR demonstration, reminding everyone that leadership is not only about guiding others, but also being prepared to respond and help during critical situations.

National Flag Day πŸ‡΅πŸ‡­

Trivia: The first Philippine flag was sewn in Hong Kong by Marcela Agoncillo, Lorenza Agoncillo, and Delfina Herbosa de Natividad. The three stars on the flag represent Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

Today we honor the day our Philippine flag was first raised. It is a symbol of courage, sacrifice, and love for our country. More than just a piece of cloth. It carries the sacrifices, dreams, and courage of the people who came before us, our national heroes.

So today, let’s honor them with words and action. It can be as simple as showing respect, lending a hand to someone who needs it, or doing your part to make our community better. ​The Youth for Environment in Schools Organization (YES-O) is seeking student members for its committees to help promote campus sustainability and environmental conservation. They are looking for dedicated individuals who want to turn their passion into action and use their unique voices to create a greener future.

Before you can apply for a committee, you must be an official member of the Youth for Environment in Schools Organization (YES-O).

We drove hope, and we reached the destination! πŸπŸŽ‰

The "Wheels of Hope" donation drive, in partnership with SSLG and other student organizations led by CCNHS student leaders, is successfully closed! Our local jeepney drivers have always taken care of us on the road, and now it is our turn to give back.

Through your incredible support, we were able to distribute more than 180 packs to our jeepney drivers. Every contribution, big or small, made a real difference for the people who keep our city moving every day.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to our generous donors for your kindness, and to the amazing team and volunteers from SSLG and partner organizations who worked tirelessly behind the scenes. From planning and packing to organizing every detail, your dedication was what made this possible.

Today we celebrate not just recycling, but the power of small actions to create big changes for our planet. International Recycling Day reminds us that the Earth is not something we simply use β€” it is our home, our responsibility, and our future.
