When earthquakes strike, every second matters. At Cagangohan National High School, PROMPTNESS and TIME-CONSCIOUSNESS are not just reminders, they are practices that have become part of our school culture.
Through our monthly earthquake drills, both students and teachers are consistently equipped with the knowledge and skills needed for disaster preparedness. These regular drills help ensure that everyone knows what to do, where to go, and how to respond calmly and safely during emergencies.
Our school administration also plays a vital role in every earthquake response. Led by Principal Arlen A. Jumamoy and the Assistant to the Office of the Principal, Sir Francis Joy B. Dimayacyac, the school demonstrates strong leadership, preparedness, and coordination whenever an earthquake occurs. Their hands-on approach helps ensure a smooth, orderly, and systematic evacuation, as well as the safe turnover of students to their parents.
Recently, the school further strengthened its commitment to safety through the introduction of Project S.E.R.V.E., an initiative that builds upon the solid foundation of disaster preparedness and emergency response already established at Cagangohan National High School.
Indeed, preparedness saves lives, and TIME-CONSCIOUSNESS remains one of our greatest strengths in times of crisis. Let us continue to promote a culture of preparedness, responsibility, and vigilance because every second counts, and together, we can keep our school community safe.
Stay alert. Stay prepared. Value every second.
