πππππππ | Two Golds, One Legacy: Archiel Labe Elevates CAFFβs Historic Pride
There are athletes who win medals, and then there are those who leave a legacy. At 19 years old, Archiel T. Labe, a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture student from the College of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fishery (CAFF), has become the latter. His golden triumphs in the 1500m and 800m categories at the Negros Oriental State University Intramurals 2026 are not just victories on the track β they are milestones etched into CAFFβs historic pride.
Archielβs journey began not with ambition for glory, but with encouragement from someone who believed in him first. βThe person who motivated and became my driving force to join NORSU Intramurals 2026 is my childhood best friend,β he recalls. That trust pushed him to step beyond his comfort zone, sprinting for Pamplona Campus' pride.
Behind the medals lies a discipline that few see. Archiel trains six days a week, refusing distractions and focusing on both mental and physical readiness. βI set myself to focus on my training, and refrain myself from being discouraged and misaligned with my goal for CAFF,β he shares. Balancing academics with athletics, he embodies the quiet resilience of a student-athlete who gives βno mercyβ to doubt.
Representing CAFF is more than a personal achievement. βI am so happy, not just only for me but for all CAFF athletes who proudly stand in a gap for CAFFβs pride,β Archiel says with gratitude. He honors his coach, chaperones, instructors, classmates, and schoolmates, acknowledging that his triumph is shared by all who stood behind him.
Yet Archielβs story is not only about medals. It is about identity, confidence, and defiance against stereotypes. His message to younger CAFF students is clear: βDonβt hide your talent and skills in sports, show them that we arenβt just βtaga bukid.β Let us show them that we are also victorious, and not a dust to be stepped on.β His words echo beyond the track, reminding his peers that triumph is born from hard work and belief in oneself.
Looking ahead, Archielβs vision stretches beyond CAFF. βRight now, my goal is to bring honor not just for my home college, but for the entire University,β he declares. With eyes set on the Regional and National SCUAA competitions, Archiel hopes to carry NORSUβs pride to greater stages, proving that his golden stride is not just a fleeting moment, but the beginning of a lasting legacy.
Behind the medals, behind the cheers, stands a young man whose victories are stitched with discipline, friendship, and pride. Archiel Labeβs story reminds us that greatness is not only measured by the finish line, but by the courage to run for something bigger than oneself.
Two golds. One legacy.
And for CAFF, a historic pride that will endure.
