The Angeleรฑo leaders have successfully hosted the inaugural Angeles City Youth Leadership Congress!

With nearly 400 delegates, including Sangguniang Kabataan leaders and youth leaders from various organizations across Angeles City, the historic congress commenced its first year on August 27, 2024, at the Royce Hotel and Casino. The event was spearheaded by the Sangguniang Kabataan Federation of Angeles City, the Angeles City Youth Development Office, and the Local Youth Development Council of Angeles City, with support from Angeles City Mayor Hon. Carmelo โ€œPogiโ€ Lazatin Jr., Boss IC Calaguas, and Maโ€™am Reina Manuel.

The ๐€๐ง๐ ๐ž๐ฅ๐ž๐ฌ ๐‚๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐˜๐จ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ก ๐‹๐ž๐š๐๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ๐ก๐ข๐ฉ ๐‚๐จ๐ง๐ ๐ซ๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ is a pioneering summit that unites youth leaders from Angeles City, including Sangguniang Kabataan officials and Angeleรฑo youth leaders. Its objectives are to enhance leadership skills, promote Filipino values, and encourage service, inclusivity, nationalism, and civic responsibility. This yearโ€™s theme, โ€œ๐๐š๐ฒ๐ข๐ง๐ญ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ฎ ๐ค๐ข๐ง๐  ๐Œ๐š๐ฌ๐š๐ฅ๐š๐ง๐  ๐๐ฎ๐ค๐š๐ฌ: ๐‹๐ž๐š๐๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ ๐ฐ๐ข๐ญ๐ก ๐Ÿ‘๐Œ๐ฌ ๐ญ๐จ๐ฐ๐š๐ซ๐๐ฌ ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ ๐ซ๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ,โ€ reflects the International Youth Day 2024 focus on digital pathways for sustainable development.

During the congress, esteemed resource speakers addressed core leadership principles under the theme โ€œMatino, Mahusay, and Maaasahan.โ€ Hon. The congress was graced by Angeles City Mayor Hon. Carmelo โ€œPogiโ€ G. Lazatin Jr., Vice Mayor Hon. Vicky Vega Cabigting, DILG Director Yvette Cosio, Mr. Arnoah Prince Mandani, Officer-in-Charge of the Angeles City Youth Development Office, and Sangguniang Kabataan Federation President Hon. Richard D. Gaza Jr. Also present were the panelists for the inaugural Angeleรฑo Youth Leadership Awards: Atty. Raphaela Lazatin, Atty. Ralph Macalino, Atty. Eliel Timbol, Atty. Mildred Ople, Dr. Noriel Calaguas, Ms. Sherry Ann Murillo, Mr. Joseph Navarro, and Mr. Loven Ramos.

The ACYLC was organized by this year's distinguished Conveners: Hon. Richard D. Gaza Jr. from the Sangguniang Kabataan Federation Office, Mr. Arnoah Prince D.G. Mandani from the Angeles City Youth Development Office, Hon. Henry Carbungco, and Hon. Nerwin John Suba, Committee Chair and Vice Chair on Active Citizenship from the SK Federation, alongside Mr. Keanu Malig, Mr. Lloyd Salazar, Youth Development Coordinators of ACYDO, and Ms. Daniel Dupaya from the Local Youth Development Council.

Following the congress, the inaugural ๐€๐ง๐ ๐ž๐ฅ๐žรฑ๐จ ๐˜๐จ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ก ๐‹๐ž๐š๐๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ๐ก๐ข๐ฉ ๐€๐ฐ๐š๐ซ๐๐ฌ were held at the Royce Hotel and Casino to honor and recognize outstanding SK leaders, SK councils, youth leaders, youth organizations, and impactful projects within the Angeleรฑo community.

The Angeleรฑo leadership blazes a trail for a community that embraces excellence, integrity, and heartfelt service, shaping the true identity of our leaders.

We proudly introduce the first-ever and largest youth leadership initiative in Angeles City, led by the Sangguniang Kabataan Federation of Angeles City and the Angeles City Youth Development Office, in collaboration with the Local Youth Development Council.

The ๐€๐ง๐ ๐ž๐ฅ๐ž๐ฌ ๐‚๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐˜๐จ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ก ๐‹๐ž๐š๐๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ๐ก๐ข๐ฉ ๐‚๐จ๐ง๐ ๐ซ๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ (๐€๐‚๐˜๐‹๐‚) is the first leadership summit designed to unite youth leaders from Angeles City, including Sangguniang Kabataan officials and organizational leaders from various sectors which will be held on August 27, 2024, at the Royce Hotel and Casino. It aims to enhance leadership skills, promote Filipino values, inspire selfless service, and foster inclusivity, nationalism, socio-civic responsibility, and political engagement among the youth.

On August 13, 2024, Mr. Arnoah Prince Mandani, and Hon. Henry Carbungco, the conveners of the Angeles City Youth Leadership Congress, conducted an ocular visit to the Royce Hotel and Casino to inspect the venue and finalize the necessary arrangements before the ACYLC, which will be held on August 27, 2024.
