Here are some more snaps from yesterday's celebration of God’s faithfulness as we mark 20 years of FEBC Cagayan de Oro (103.3 The New J).

From the music and fellowship, we are grateful for how God has sustained the station and used it to bring hope and encouragement to more people through the years.

With eight bands blessing us with their music today, The New J is also honoring 20 local bands through an Artists’ Appreciation as part of its 20th anniversary celebration.

Music has been instrumental in the station’s ministry, serving as a valuable medium for creative missionaries and music artists to use their gifts to serve God. Through music, they help deliver and amplify the Gospel message, adding value to the station’s broadcast.

FEBC Philippines CEO Luis Miguel V. Castillo shared this message during the 20th anniversary celebration of FEBC Cagayan de Oro (103.3 The New J) at Kiosko Kagawasan, where music artists, listeners, and members of the public gathered to celebrate two decades of the station’s ministry.

Drawing from 2 Corinthians 5:14, “For the love of Christ compels us,” Kuya Lucho reminded everyone that our lives and calling are rooted in Christ’s love. He also pointed to Luke 9:23, reminding us that following Christ means taking up our cross daily. Our eyes are set not only on eternity, but on faithfully living for Him here and now.

“The focus is always the Lord. Period.”

Himayaon Ka, O Diyos! FEBC Cagayan de Oro (103.3 The New J) celebrates its 20th anniversary today at Kiosko Kagawasan.

Celebrate with us as we choose positivity and continue the mission of reaching others with hope, until all have heard.

For 20 years, we’ve been blessed to share hope, encouragement, music, and positive messages with our community and beyond. Today, we celebrate with grateful hearts and give thanks to God for His faithfulness throughout the years.

It will be a shelter and shade from the heat of the day, and a refuge and hiding place from the storm and rain.”

While many parts of Luzon and Visayas continue to face heavy rains, flooding and landslides brought by thunderstorms, the habagat and recent typhoons, our kababayans in parts of Mindanao are facing another threat—the scorching heat, with heat indices reaching PAGASA’s danger category.

Families are being displaced. Properties and livelihoods are at risk. Classes and work are disrupted. And in some areas, extreme heat is putting people at risk of heat exhaustion, heat cramps and heat stroke.

Amid the prevailing storms and scorching heat, let us pray for God’s protection over families and communities at risk, strength and provision for those affected, wisdom and swift action for disaster response teams and authorities, and safer, calmer weather in the days ahead.

May God be our refuge in every storm and our shelter in every season. And may His Word continue to shine as a source of hope, strength and comfort for our kababayans.
